Sophie is the enforcer!Sophie has some bad teammates (and her woke coach is trash as she did not stand up for her after the game). The first one that was credited held her arms to wrap her up but left her exposed to Carrington in the middle of the altercation. Then when Sophie was clapping at the ejection, her other teammate pushed her away.
I've always felt like Indiana lacked true enforcers to protect some of their players.
WNBA is just a trash product.

What two leagues? We should just merge the two leagues and let the best play and send the rest overseas.
What two leagues?
There may be a few on our team who have no future in the NBA but could declare a change of gender and make it big in the WNBA. Enes is a trail blazer and as UK fans we are very proud of him. What's your take on the upcoming UK team?
Enes may be the savior of the WNBA.Its gonna be wild to see how far Kanter takes this.
Regardless, the WNBA is meeting this week to determine what to do about this and come to a conclusion on who can and cant play in this league. It almost for sure will be that only biological women can play, because if they let in one transformer, they may potentially have to let in someone like Kanter. And they wont. It will have to be all or nothing.
So in the end, the WNBA is about to.. as Sophie Cunningham tried to advocate at the very beginning of this... protect women's sports.
Lets see Colbert give it a Chefs Kiss:

Bro you give WNBA Management and Marketing way too much credit. They are the dumbest and I mean dumbest league office in all of professional sports. It could be pouring down rain outside and they would look up to see if its raining. The thing about all this “Well dudes game is rough and fans like the good ole days…” argument is that all the dude sports evolved.
The NBA hit a lick, started making money, and then said “oh we better protect our money maker(s)…”
Football started to favor offensive skill positions. Tall good looking QBs who facilitate a lot of scoring and thus ad/sponsor/tv money are protected.
Generally both are massively popular, have billions and billions…can survive cultural issues.
WNBA needs to tread carefully. It’s historically not popular. It’s very niche in terms of demographic that plays as well as watches spends money on it.
The fan base the new generation of WNBA players have momentarily brought in will not stick around for BS.
New girls watching and their dads will go back to softball, volleyball, gymnastics, soccer
The casual sports fans the WNBA has temporarily captured will bail.
If I were running the WNBA I would be instituting Jordan and Brady rules immediately. I’d be circling the wagons around the popular stars and promoting them.
I’d be directing the PR/Marketing machinery to be very careful about taking sides on issues that is inevitably going to turn off the every day fan that has just recently started watching the game in the last few years.
The level of ignorance and absolute stupidity of this post amazes me. This isn’t just about “that” foul. Was a hard foul the still pic makes it look bad. She deserved to get booted for it. But should end there. The hyper reactionism helps nothing n just makes everything worse. Had she flipped her legs up when she went up for lay up then yeah she needs kicked out of league and maybe an investigation. This was a hard unnecessary foul was punished correctly move on.
Hey! I resemble that remark.Oh!! So DiJonnai has a reputation for doing this across the board? NOT. Shocking that you’d have this take since you and Nightwish see the world the same way…….
in other news, Ryan Urlacher says he watches every game and defends Clark and Cunningham. Who knew a bunch of online warriors were more manly than Urlacher ??!!
So…you never watched those guys, along with several dozen other well known dudes, and you never watched Bill Musselman’s Minnesota teams either. Hell, the Dallas Chaparrals started Lenny Chappell for the sole reason of decking the Condors John Brisker. Chappell knocked him out cold when the ref tossed up the ball for the opening tip, and none of the refs saw it.Oh!! So DiJonnai has a reputation for doing this across the board? NOT. This is a national spots news story. How can someone get banned for commenting on the biggest sports story in a long time. We have men willing to change their gender to play with the girls. The WNBA said the door is open to trans so what did they expect.I think I got a 72 hour ban because of the last WNBA thread. No idea really what I said that broke rules.
If you care about WNBA crap it’s because it is being used to distract you from other things. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE WNBA.
If it is popping up in your social media it’s because your algorithm is whack. You are being played.
I dont have any issue with a hard foul to prevent a layup, but she did not even go for the ball. She basically tried to hurt her. She needs a serve LONG suspension to make an example of this thuggery ****, the WNBA is just too stupid to realize that. But it IS the WNBA so what do you expect from a bunch of woke azz clod eaters they have pretending to be Management.
Those Facebook groups give you the ammo you want. I bet Dijonaise watches those guys religiously .So…you never watched those guys, along with several dozen other well known dudes, and you never watched Bill Musselman’s Minnesota teams either. Love this post. It’s exactly right imo.Nothing like the privelige of almost having your head taken off while minding your own business! It's truly a blessing.
Now reality: Nothing like the privelige of trying to harm someone, taking zero responsibilty for it and then climbling online and having the audacity to blame them and actually getting sympathy from a bunch of online nuts.
THIS. I will start watching if they actually let Enes and Royce White play. That would be absolutely hilarious to watch them go for 50 and 20 every game.wait till Enes gets there.
lol wut? If I got fouled like that, whomever fouled me would be missing teeth at the least. It's a kind of foul that happens in basketball leagues all over the world. The player that has it happen to them should be allowed to be pissed off. You can't be allowed to retaliate though because, again, it's just a foul that happens from time to time. She was rightfully removed from the game.
I guess you havent been paying attention to what’s going on. Not sure how you missed it.Lol - it was a hard foul and a heated exchange after whsts the big deal.
To each his ownI think I got a 72 hour ban because of the last WNBA thread. No idea really what I said that broke rules.

Last week Cunningham fouled another player's elbow with her face
Clark was whistled for a technical because she "hit" an official
How can anyone take this league seriously?
I'm laughing at you going full throttle snowflake over this. I probably haven't watched four quarters total of WNBA action since the inception of the league, but I knew this thread would provide entertainment for me, and it hasn't disappointed. As for those ancient relics justifying their thug play based on race, we'll never know since there wasn't social media back then. Those old relics were enforcers, and guys like Ladner, Brisker, Chappell and Jabali would take away the lunch money of any supposed enforcers in the game today. Those Facebook groups give you the ammo you want. I bet Dijonaise watches those guys religiously .
I’ve got you down as a big Dijonaise fan now. Did those ancient relics you mentioned immediately justify their thug play based on race??? You and Night don’t ever change. I lnow you won’t and will meet anything that throws you into a huff with a laughing emoji and a diversion. Have a great year.![]()
That is the fairest way. One league, open to anyone that has the talent to make a roster. We should just merge the two leagues and let the best play and send the rest overseas.
I bet all these wnba players and coaches would shut up real quick if that was threatened.
I like the idea. Do it, Silver! That is the fairest way. One league, open to anyone that has the talent to make a roster.
Agreed. If there isn't a definable difference between a woman and a man, then just make everything coed. That is the fairest way. One league, open to anyone that has the talent to make a roster.
Literally all the WNBA has right now to generate interest is CC and Sophie Cunningham and multiple players seem to think it’s helpful to constantly attack both of them. Why bite the hand that feeds you?!WNBA has the double edge sword. Any publicity is good publicity, or is it? At least for their sake, everyone is talking about the WNBA right now. What they are deciding is how to balance keeping current fans and bringing in new fans, . However, the mob mentality of the game and racial overtones might push some fans away. I can't believe I'm saying this but this is a tipping point for the WNBA.
Disclaimer: not a WNBA fan.
