I can deal with Facebook, Twitter, and instagram, but this TikTok trash is just a bridge too far for me. Between the wife, kids, and friends, people have probably shown me 500 TikTok clips during the last year, and every damn one of them is dumb as hell.

Ah yes...I almost forgot this was the time of year all the sorority girls invade La Terraza all dressed in some theme. I've seen 20 girls dressed up wearing pajamas to cow girl to alien depending on that night's theme.

Nationally, Alpha Chi Omega is probably considered a top three sorority. The new house will help them tremendously at State.

Yeah, had a buddy at a school in Ohio and the A Chi O’s there were mostly smokeshows.

A Chi O just doesn't have a huge footprint in the South. Once SEC Rush became a thing, they started colonizing. State in 2021 and Ole Miss in 2022. State got their house this year and Ole Miss gets theirs next year. They are run so well nationally that it will eventually trickle down and both will be more desirable houses.

State needs at least one more house. I have heard that Kappa Kappa Gamma is interested in coming back. They have not chartered a new chapter since 2020 and State is the only SEC school without a chapter. They left in 1984.

We had 12 houses in 1977 and we have 9 today in the middle of SEC Rush being one of the biggest recruiting tools ever. I know that Greek life isn't for everyone, but being the school that actively fights against it is not what we need in 2026.

The university is actively pursuing 3 more to get back to 12, and has started incorporating Greek Life more heavily into official recruitment in the last 4-5 years

Good. Need to double the amount of girls rushing as well. We'd still be in 15th place in the SEC but be much closer.

Need to let freshmen girls going through rush move in at least the day before rush instead of four hours before it starts. Creates a lot of stress on families.

Need to do like South Carolina and Ole Miss and sit the entire Panhellenic Council and Intrafraternity Council and tell them there is zero tolerance for bullying new chapters that are trying to build, AGD left campus after someone spray painted Alpha Grabba Donut on their homecoming float. Big girls need love, too. But no one is going to want to be part of a brand new house if they have to face that kind of torment.
