I don’t know about “breakout” as a 5th year senior, but Aberdeen will probably end up having a good year on a loaded Florida team where he won’t have to be a focal point on offense.

If I had to pick a player to totally outperform what they did here, it might actually be Garrison. His inconsistency and seeming immaturity can be frustrating, but he has physical gifts, and I think Oats’s system that will mostly just have him rebound, block shots, and rim run will end up being a better fit for him than what we’ve been doing that often asked him to make decisions with the ball in his hands.

He definitely has some tools. If he can stay focused and motivated you never know.

Chandler. Although, if I were to give his dribbling/handling a 2k rating, it'd be an unupgraded 50... And that's not Pope's fault. He has got to fix that.

If healthy, I might go with Jaland Lowe on this one. I think he has more potential than any of the others to become a focal point and a difficult problem for other teams to deal with. Really, I can see all of those players having some good success, but again I think Lowe has the most potential to be a breakout player that gets CBB media talking.

Jaland Lowe has a chip on his shoulder, no pun intended.

Completely forgot about Lowe. That team definitely earned the nickname the Forgettables

On the J. Lowe comments. That could wind up being a good pick. I do think however it will be come down to the coach getting him to buy into being a pg and not a lead guard that leads his team in shots per minute. If he does buy in, he could be pretty tough.

Not unfair. lol. I do think these individuals are judged to harshly at times (myself included) based on how they played on that weird team. Weird is the only way I can describe it. That was just an odd mix of guys.
Yea definitely will try to give them the benefit of the doubt, think weird is the perfect way to describe whatever that team was

Perry transferred to Dayton where he'll play a much lower level of competition in the A10 than in the SEC. And he had several pretty good games last year. With a bigger role and less elite athleticism/toughness to go up against, I could see him having a really good year.

Chandler should have a good year at BYU, I'd expect the best year from him out of the guys who transferred out this year.

Mo D will have a nice year for LSU but I think Chandler will be one of BYU's better scorers and they will be top 20 most of the eyar.

I think BG will have a really good year for Bama, not a star but a very solid guy for Oats. I think for the most part they will all be what we all know and expect. People laugh at the Japer call but he was the only freshman of that group and was forced to play PG here, he has the chance to be very good at Oregon.

He has to be the worst burger boy if ever seen.

I think Mo is a locker room problem and would need to be on a team full of other tough SOBs to be any better. I think he expects all the other guys around him to have that same tough SOB mentality. Even at that, he is what he is, an undersized rebound and put back guy and mostly that's what his production will be limited to.

Last year's team was absolutely full of one dimensional guys. Lowe had handles, but can't shoot and gets bounced around on both sides. MO was a junkyard dog that couldn't do much else. Chandler was a spot up shooter (he did have hops, but couldn't really get the ball in close enough to exhibit those hops), Garrison was a 1-5 defender that wasn't great at any offensive skill, Aberdeen was a pressure release, but lacked quickness and penetration and didn't distribute great. Jelly was just sort of a C+ at everything. Jasper had a quick first step and a decent shot, but was absolutely ate up inside of 15ft. Jelly has the most room for improvement. Likely none of them will are "breakout" capable. I say all of this as someone who generally doesn't like to be negative. Oweh was the star of last year's team because he could drive AND had a decent outside shot. He's the one that could go get you a shot on a team that just didn't have that anywhere else.
