One could argue thar mgmt has really jerked Dominguez around for two years, but when given opportunities, has just been too inconsistent.
His issues seem mental.
Volpe...just not a future in NY.
Cashman and his stupid analytics F-up all of their top prospects. Seriously, Judge came up 10 years ago. Focusing on launch angle and velo causes low BAs and high Ks.

Now Cashman seems to be floating the possibility that Judge will miss the rest of this season.
Anything to fire up the fan base.

LOMBARD goes BOOM in his 2nd MLB AB!!! Sent a message to his mom earlier, letting her know I’m gonna be at tomorrow night‘s game, hopefully get to say hello (knew each other from school). You can see mom Judy Prado (former RU gymnast) and Sr in the stands as he’s rounding the bases. WOW!!!

Only one game, but the kid looked great in the field as well.

Quite the in game mgmt by Boone tonight.

Sanchez batting third in the order as the tying run in 9th inning...end result...takes called third strike.

Such a Boone trademark!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Yankees will be in third place in their division any day now.
I honestly don't know which was a worse experience for me....watching the Rutgers football defense in 2025 or the Yankees offense in 2026.

Yeah....Garcia is 2nd in the major is slugging % why isn't he batting 3rd? Mind-boggling IMHO. Also:

- Grisham CAN NOT be your leadoff hitter. PERIOD.

- Wells has to be benched. Bob Boone is 78 and could likely get on base more often. Give dad a call, okay?

- aside from the leadoff at-bat of each game you have Wells(Castro) followed by Grisham the rest of the game. THIS CAN NO LONGER HAPPEN!!!

Not landing another catcher before the trade deadline, IMHO, should be a fireable offense. PERIOD. I don't care if this team makes the World Series. Cashman's got to go. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Yes, there was an hour+ rain delay last night, which sucked, BUT people (myself included and I am NOT a "beat the traffic" kinda guy....) were leaving in droves by mid-game because, well, the rest of the evening was fairly predictable.

I believe they pinch ran for Garcia earlier in the game, but I agree with your assessment, over all.

Last nite, even though those two balls over Grisham's head were smashed, he didn't get a good jump on either.
He's a liability on this team, no doubt.
Unfortunately, one of many.

Surprising comeback win Friday night after another strong performance by one of their starters and the expected nothing-but-zeros offense for most of the game. Surprisingly, McMahon with the game-winning sacrifice fly.
Most offensively challenged offense for the Bronx club in memory.

Was at the game. Stuck it out after a 2 hour delay and 3 hours of some of the most boring baseball I've ever seen before being rewarded. Lots of folks left after Hill gave up the HR and missed the comeback.

Yep, today was a good win against Sale. And Boston actually lost a game. Good day….haven’t been too many of them.

One thing I feel needs to happen is Boone has to have a "sitdown" with Caballero and clean his shiit up.

It's a distraction, a big one, and it's eventually going to cost the team some games.
I'm surprised the issue hasn't already been addressed?

all of MLB has fked up the abilities by focusing on metrics and what not. Today's players are not better than even 20 yrs ago imho

This team, and it's inability to get a run across with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs, is just incredible.

I bet it's cost them a MINIMUM of five games so far.
Update...Chisholm is still a POS.

Grisham is such a lazy azz POS playing CF.

Just cost the pitcher extra pitches to get out of an inning.
How does Boone put up with that shiit?
Oh, and as a bonus, batting leadoff and hitting .216.

What a year it could have been, reminds me of Rutgers, when we have am amazing pitching staff , we lose the heart of our order in Judge, Stanton, Bellinger and the bats go silent, no offense, In past yrs it was spotty starting pitching. There has to be a balance. which injuries have destroyed. If we can get healthy and the returning players regain their timing/rythm real fast, this is a World Series team able to compete w/ the Dodgers w/ the addition of Garcia"s big bat. What a lineup-Rice, Judge, Stanton, Bellinger, Garcia, Lombard (I believe in this rookie) w/ Cole, Fried ,Schlittler, Rodan and the lowest ERA in the bullpen.

I don't know what happened to Ben Rice.
Yep, he's kinda sucked since the ASG.

And the new additions, Garcia and Ramos, haven't done squat either.

This is a team destined to be eliminated in the second round.
Not winning in the post season when you consistently only manage 3/4/5 hits a game.
And you're always gonna face a top 3 starter.

Actual Sunday update: Yankees ground out a 10th inning win despite facing the best opposing starter in the league.

I'm not loving the season as a whole, either, but you dont have to be that fn miserable ALL the time.

There have been many games that have been absolute torture for me this season...particularly the current stretch where it seems like the Yanks can't score more than one run per game. But if their pitching holds up and they get Judge and Bellinger back things could get interesting come playoff time. And if Rice gets out of his current funk.
Anyway, I've sorta gotten used to several posters here...as you said...being miserable all of the time.
There's a group just like that all the time on Rutgers subjects. Some people just don't seem happy unless they're endlessly bitching.

Fun fact...Ryan McMahon has been thrown out at 2nd/3rd base three times in the last week as a baserunner.

You don't see that all summer watching 8U girl's youth softball.

Unbelievable. 🤣🤣🤣
Another fun fact, since being acquired at the deadline, Ramos nor Garcia have done jack shiit.
Needed a catcher and a reliever and got two guys that haven't contributed...yet.

Another big win for the Yankees tonight.
I was always wondering as the trading deadline approached why so many were talking about them acquiring a closer....when we already had a pretty good one of those.

I think the feeling was moving Bednar to 8th inning if they would have gotten Miller.
I know the NYY bullpen is rated as one of the better in MLB, but man, Cruz and Hill...you hold your breath when they enter a game.
