I think the other reason Trump will bail on Iran is he thinks gas prices will immediately drop down under $3 and then he can say he's saving Republicans in the midterms.
Price may drop, but the damage is already done.
There’s no way you can spin this as a win if it ends with Iran controlling and charging passage through the strait.
