That ain’t poor even in America. But the very poorest in America would be middle class or better in most countries in Central America, The Caribbean Islands, Africa, or the Philippines just to name a few truly POOR countries.
You don't seem to get the point I'm making so I'll say it like this.
Say there is $1,000 total dollars made a year in America.
People whose salary total up to be about $50 of that pay $15 in taxes. I consider this the "poor" group.
The other $950 pay about $317 in taxes. I consider this the "rich".
I propose to cut poor taxes to $5 (from 30% to 10%) and raise rich taxes to $475 (from 30% to 50%)
I have increased tax revenue by $148.
I spend $50 on Romneycare infrastructure since his plan worked so well Obama stole it with the Affordable Care Act. I'm assuming $50 here since it's often said communism is what would be required for this to happen, so let's spend the equivalent of the poorest 5%'s wealth on it.
I spend $50 on education reform. Better grade schools. Better trade schools. Better colleges. All free for all to learn at for upstanding members of society. (Encourage kids to stay out of gangs. Especially focus on trades. Massive shortage there)
I spend $40 on housing reform. Give first time homebuyers a leg up. Push legislation preventing foreign countries buying up our land and house as investment spec and invest in America first.
I have $8 I spend as tip on a pointless war with *spins wheel* Sudan?
This is simplistic obviously, but this is the general idea behind a democrat like Bernie's tax plan. I'm sorry but poor people's taxes just don't ******* matter in comparison to rich people's taxes.
