Is this another one of those giant lawsuits where Trump doesn't understand that at some point he has to go under oath?
Probably not thread worthy, but I saw that Donald's suit against his niece Mary was settled a few days ago. That means Donald caved. If he'd won he'd be bragging about it non stop. Instead just a meek announcement that the suit had been amicably settled.

Oops! Who sees the case being dropped? 😅

PReSIdENTiAL IMmunITY!!!! That will be his next maneuver. I can't be forced to hand over anything.
Trump brought this thing assuming they'd roll over, or assuming he'd just get the headline he wanted. If the court allows the BBC to get proper discovery Trump is fudged, and the case will quietly go away.

Too bad for him because presidential immunity only shields him as a defendant, not a plaintiff. Presidential immunity is a defensive legal shield; it does not apply when a president chooses to sue a private entity.

And because Trump chose to file this private civil action, he cannot use executive privilege or his status as president to completely block information requests from the defense.

If the court allows, BBC will make sure it doesn't go away quietly.

Careful. You’re going to get sued for defamation.

As someone who sues people as much as Trump you would think he would know about discovery. Yet it doesn't surprise me he doesn't.
He's always played the "I have enough money to drag you through the courts for years" game and forced small business contractors to accept pennies on the dollar. He literally doesn't have a clue how it works... the courts have just been a weapon. Now he's going up against entities that can spend real money and he has no f'n clue what to do. This was his strategery in Iran... hit 'em... roll 'em over... declare victory.
