So an annual membership is $120 after the first 12 months?

That's correct, on the annual billing plan, so equates to $10/month (just billed annually).

Good news is you hate us after a year being around us and reading all the content, you can cancel and don't have to pay the renewal. Not that I'm suggesting that, and I think $10/month is still a pretty great deal.

The free forum (FGF) predates the paid insider's forum. It also isn't confined to Gamecock Sports topics.

From a marketing perspective, the free Gamecock site is here to generate leads for the paid site.

Think of the free Gamecock forum like the kiosks in the food section at Costco . . . they give you free samples of food with the hope you will buy their product. They might also run “specials” that discount their pricing to entice you to buy.

It‘s the same here: the free site allows people with the same interests to gather and discuss Gamecock sports. But at the same time, they invite you to join the paid site. Their enticements include Gamecock news stories (must have paid subscription) at the top along with links to recruiting, On3 news, etc. (again, all for paying customers).

So, there’s a well thought out purpose in having two sites. If you are feeling like you‘d benefit and enjoy more Gamecock news and topics, I’d encourage you to try the deal. There are some great folks on the Insider forum!
