Isn't flying under the radar right where we want to be?

Hey guys, I've been posting here for a long time.. the 15 in NittanyLion15 was my age when I created this account... (I'm 40 now) ..

I've followed PSU for as long as I can remember and I can't help but get the feeling this season is going to be special. It's definitely not because of the preseason hype, it's the lack there of. Most of the great Penn State seasons in the last 20 years have always come when the national media least expects it. For example, 2005 we started the season unranked finished #3. 2008 began #22 finished 8. 2016 started unranked, finished #7. Big ten championships in all three of those seasons.

It might have been at Iowa State, but we have arguably the most veteran QB in the nation at the helm... If the pieces fall into place there's no reason why 2026 can't be just like any of the other three big ten championship years. The schedule couldn't set up better, and although we have experience; will the team gel like it will have to in order to win a championship? I think it does. This schedule feels a lot like the 2005 schedule.

2005
South Florida 23-13 W
Cincinnati 42-24 W
Central Michigan 40-3 W
Northwestern 34-29 W
Minnesota 44-14 W
Ohio State 17-10 W
Michigan 27-25 L (Get the hell out of here with that final second added to that clock, classic Michigan BS)
Illinois 63-10 W
Purdue 33-15 W
Wisconsin 35-14 W
Michigan State 31-22 W

Swap out Minnesota & Wisconsin in 2026 and you essentially have the same set up as we did in 2005. Three games to get ready for B1G play, what should be an improved Wisconsin following by a tricky Friday night game at Northwestern, getting us set up for the first true test of the season against USC in the whiteout. (Just like Ohio State in 2005) I truly see this season playing out like it did in 2005.

Penn State never fares well when the media gets behind us. I feel much more optimistic today, then a did a year ago at this time. There's no expectation to do great things, except from the Nittany Nation.... and that's just when we tend to rise to the top of the B1G.

Thoughts?

Another troll account from the “PSU Fan” who has managed all of two posts from this account over the past 25 years🤣

A simple question for @Tom McAndrew. Did this specific On3 board exist 25 years ago? (40 - 15 =25) 🤔

Your inventory of troll monikers (ending in double digits, of course) must really be shrinking if you have to dust off this one and attempt such a lame explanation for same 🤷🏾‍♀️

Flying under the radar is a great place to be but I doubt that will last very long into the season.

Yes the board existed 25 years ago. I’ve been on it since 1995 (when it was on the plotit site).

The problem with flying under the radar is that you are too close to the terrain that an unexpected mountain could destroy you. And no one would ever know because no one had you on their radar.

The only thing trying to fly under the radar was the attempt to subtly troll under another name.
Well, good for you that you have been able to keep track of all the different names you use on the board. It's a good way to keep getting attention.
Especially from the one or two "posters" who always "like" your posts. And almost always only those one or two posters.
