Stupid question, but I really do not understand how this portal sh*t works: If Tavion can enter the portal now, can anyone? Or is it just because he was recently granted a 5th year of eligibility?
Also, since Iowa doesn’t have a full roster, would BMC be able to go after a guard for this upcoming season should one he likes become available?
I don't understand it very well myself but I remember he entered the portal at the end of the season. He said if it worked out he would come back to Iowa but obviously, that is not happening. To answer your question, he did it when it was available to him at the end of last season
It was basically a hedge, should he be given a 5th season. Given the time it took to fill the roster, it wouldn't be helpful to bring in TB.
I think the judge ruled that all of the plaintiffs (including those from the high school class of 2022) would be eligible for the transfer portal that recently opened up for them.
