A new GAO report just exposed $27 billion in ObamaCare fraud after Biden and Harris gutted income verification, removed identity authentication, and paid brokers up to $150 per enrollee with no penalty for signing up phantoms.

Dead people are collecting subsidies while 160,000 real Americans had their accounts hijacked.

Don't put words in my mouth. When I mentioned that half a million Georgians lost ACA coverage due to the BBB, you said illegals should be kicked off and I responded that these weren't illegals, which is true. A few states provide limited state-level coverage, California with the most, but majority of these enrollees in your Eric Daugherty(lol) tw.at are people who were mis-classified or have a higher income. My statement about Georgia is still true.

Improper cases include:

• People with incomes above the 138% federal poverty level limit.
• People who fail citizenship, immigration, or residency requirements.
• People who qualify for traditional Medicaid pathways (children, pregnant women, disabled, elderly, etc.) but were misclassified into the higher-match expansion group.

Roughly one-third of the improper enrollees (~3 million) appear to be traditional-pathway eligibles who were misclassified, which lets states shift costs to the federal government (which pays ~90% for expansion vs. a lower average match for traditional enrollees). The rest involve excess income or failures on citizenship/immigration/residency rules. No precise national split for undocumented immigrants is published in the report.

Federal law generally bars full-scope Medicaid for undocumented immigrants (limited emergency Medicaid is available). Some states (notably California, plus others such as New York, Illinois, etc.) use state-only funds to provide broader coverage to undocumented residents.

I see your point, but who is responsible for managing the program? Does not the system manager have any responsibility to make sure the money is being spent according to the rules. Personally, I can't tell you the number of times/accounts where I log in and get some form of secondary ID verification.

So, if I understand your point, if we are depending on the insurance companies, why do we need the government employees? Why doesn't the federal government just give the money directly to the insurance companies. Yes, this fraud is the government's fault.

well here's my point..the federal government appropriates funding and sets the rules...the money is sent to the states to administer the programs. They are supposed to endure the money gets to the right places.. now I don't know how the state administers to insurance companies, but if they just pay the bills with no oversight of where the money goes than that's on them.. They have a responsibility to effectively use the money they have been given. An example is Minnesota..one of the social programs went for somewhere in 20million one year to more than 200 million 4 years later....and yet no one in government asked a question why or how? To me that's incompetence and mismanagement. (not the right numbers but the idea is the same)

I come from the old military school...you are responsible for everything your unit does or fails to do. Neither the federal government nor the states can just say well I gave out the money and my responsibility stops there. They are responsible to make sure it is used in the way it was intended. To do otherwise is dereliction.

Taxpayers are the ones giving the money, we have a right to demand it be spent wisely but=y the government
