I heard an interesting podcast recently on Iowa’s consistent football success where they discussed that Iowa’s d-coordinator (Phil Parker) has been at Iowa for 28 years. This gives Iowa a unique advantage (at least on the defensive side of the ball) in that they have a lengthy encyclopedia of prior player techniques/highlights that they show current players (at all 3 levels of their defense). Iowa’s defense has consistently held opponents to low point averages. Anyway, I know we were discussing the long-term that Iowa’s head coach has been there, but I think more importantly, Ferentz has been able to keep his assistant coaching staff in-tact, for the most part.
That you see it as consistent success pretty sums up the clarkeye mantra.

Most Nebraska fans would see that as consistent failure.

Did you guys hang another banner over that podcast. You guys are so pathetic, and do not even realise it, nor have any ability to understand.

Looking forward to your "Decadeof Dominance err Consistence" vdeo coming soon. I am sure you will post it here first.

Run along you pathetic herky!

Right?

They are at 7.44 wins a season over the last 30 years. That is not good. That is lame.

Why leave that staff when you keep getting raises and have no pressure to perform?

It would be like having a sales job where you keep getting raises but never really hit the company goals...

I would never leave...especially once you get to a certain age. I have never heard of Phil Parker but I am guessing he could double his current salary but that would come with real expectations, if he went to a school that had real expectations. So he would get 1 or maybe 2 years and then be canned.

Or he can stay at iowa where he knows there are no expectations at all and keep making (I assume) really good money.

People only leave for more money or because they want to try and achieve more...the guys on your staff must be happy.
wtf are you talking about Iowa’s d coordination and specials teams have been the strength of the Iowa program for years. Ferentz gives them autonomy and general freedom to run their own departments, as long as the results are positive.

Everyone is doing it...that is why schools fire coaches that don't produce the results that they want.

Or you have schools that have brainwashed their fanbase into thinking that there is no "pot of gold" out there.
It’s the old story…if everyone is jumping off a bridge…doesn’t mean I would.

Of course you will. You slow blinking simpletons think you’re on a burner the last 10 years! Must be sad to have never been to the top of the mountain and also never expect to get to the top of the mountain #8 wins and loving it
Who said I, or other Iowa fans, don’t ever expect to “get to the top of the mountain”. Heck, I think Iowa has a good chance to make the CFP this year.

If you keep your coach for 30+ years with zero improvement and nothing to show for it, your athletic department is not trying to win. You know that.

That is why you do that #8Wins thing...

Your coach averages 7.44 wins over a 30 year career and you don't want more?
“Zero improvement”… heck Iowa has consistently increased the volume of their players that get drafted in the NFL.

Your Hawkeye hatred blinds you to the Iowa football program’s consistent success. I guess not every team can consistently win the off-season like Nebraska does.

Still in those 10 years what has the the Clarkeyes achieved ?

You have 13 consecutive winning seasons.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Nebraska had 39 consecutive winning seasons till the 2002 season went they went 7-7.
What do you predict the outcome of this year’s Nebraska vs Iowa game?

How do they have a good chance for the playoffs?
No QB, Brown and Hecklinski are a far cry from Gronowski, and you have to replace the majority of your defense.

It will be it’ll be conservative Ferentz and a cloud of dust.IMG_3356.jpeg

I predict that at the end of the game you and the other shitbirds who come over to our site will continue to be losers and that it will be another mediocre season in the books for Iowa

And Troy Dannen's job may hinge on Backwards Cap winning 8 games.

Oh, well...Husker fans still have balloons and the fake sellout streak!
I’ll take that over Iowa and their empty trophy case and their coaches kkk rallies

I never worry too much about the defense under Phil Parker. The QB’s will be fine as Iowa will again have a good o-line, are deep at the running back position, have several stud tight ends, along with some good portal wide receiver pickups…all which will make the QBs job much easier. A 10-2 record (possibly even 9-3) gets Iowa into the CFP.
