Awesome statement, Cheeto. BTW, the U.S. reportedly has about 77,000 windmills/wind turbines, and they reportedly produce about 10.5 percent of this country's energy.. Here's the link to the article:

Trump says countries with windmills 'lose money'
is a wind turbine a windmill? The answer is no. they have different purposes output and design....so you might just be comparing apples and grapefruits.

Can you tell us what your point is? Do they both produce juice when installed to do so?

The article I linked referred to 77,000 "wind turbines." You are obviously correct in noting that there is a difference between wind turbines and wind mills (which latter term conjures up, at least for me, visions of Holland and the ancient buildings with four or five blades that are attached to the building and move in circular fashion). I am guessing that Trump used the term "wind mill" rather broadly, and to include wind turbines, because wind turbines are mainly what he has been exposed to, both here in the U.S. and at his golf course in Scotland.

I understood what you meant/intended to say, and understand that your point was to mock trump, and there are certainly enough opportunities to do that. But in your post you used "windmills/turbines", My point was that windmills don't do the same things as wind turbines..not even close. They were created to be wind "mills".

But, having read some of the responses to my post, it's clear that some of your like thinkers don't know the difference either. But in fairness, there have been some windmills converted to produce green energy, just not 77,000 of them. And just so you know my heart is in the right place, I don't think that countries with 77000 "windmills" are losers. Anything that produces useable energy is OK in my book. And, IMO the book is not closed on the efficiency, cost effectiveness, environmental impact of the turbines. They may be the worlds greatest contribution to renewable energy, or not.

lol We all know exactly what Trump is referring to. This is why nobody takes you seriously, Mr. I'm Not a Republican
first of all, still not a Republican...conservative, yes, and I made that clear long time ago.

And no matter whether "nobody takes me seriously" w windmill is not a wind turbine. Sorry, that the truth, look it up...to give you a heads start, just Google "is a windmill a wind turbine"

my point was that a windmill is not a wind turbine. You can produce juice from just about anything is installed to do so....but, a windmill is not a wind turbine. They were created for totally different purposes. Now if you want to make a windmill into an electricity producing "machine" you can but a windmill was created to harness wind for things like cutting wood, grinding grain and pumping water.

Wind turbines almost certainly AREN'T the world's greatest contribution to renewable energy. My guess is that solar panels, which are essentially ubiquitous, produce FAR more energy than wind turbines. But I subscribe to the "all of the above" credo when it comes to energy. (That even includes, for the short to medium term, nuclear energy, problematic as disposal of spent nuclear rods is.)

What I found not just objectionable, but absurd and moronic, was Trump objecting to wind turbines for no apparent reason other than his aesthetic objection and the fact that his right wing world view is all about fossil fuels and all against renewable energy. For Chrissake, he even believes he can bring back coal !! Secondly, his opting to use the term "losers" sounds distinctly second grade. He's not just an adult. He's an 80 year-old adult. He should know better than to spout that grade school invective. Anyone who comes out with statements like that RICHLY deserves to be mocked.

Your point is dumb, though ... because your Fuhrer uses the term "windmill" to refer to wind turbines. Always has ... likely always will ...

You know damn well what ShitStain is referring to.

Trump just doesn't know what to call them.
well on that I'll agree...like I said, my only reason for my post was that Bear "intimated' that they are the same with the "windmill/wind turbine" post.

There likely isn't any country with 77,000 windmills.

I can't disagree with anything you posted. I personally think it was dumb to cancel wind projects when $$billions have already been spent and the affected states had approved the projects. Cancellation and just writing off the money already spent and the potential future energy just doesn't make business sense to me.

And, as I posted, I also am in favor of the all of the above approach...and finally

I agree that Trumps use of adjectives like "loser" are below the dignity of the Office. But let's face it, that's Trump. He's not going to change. But,IMO, using the latest trump statements to demonstrate how coarse he is doesn't add to what people already know.

Trump has really screwed up his second term as president. There was so much he could have done following Biden, but he has chosen to focus on things not high on the average american's priority list. Most of us don't give a big rat's *** about the SAVE act and would rather attention be given to healthcare, immigration, inflation and the budget....etc. (IMO you could solve the voting issue with a mandatory 5 year prison sentence for an undocumented person voting in an election). But as I've posted before, and don't think you'll agree, democrats should have won in 2016 and 2024, and would have, had they nominated a center leaning candidate.

No, Bear posted with the knowledge that Trump confuses the two terms, so when Trump was referring to windmills, he really meant wind turbines.

And rather than correct the person who was wrong (Trump), you decided to attempt to correct the person who was correct (Bear).

This is the perfect encapsulation of TDS.

I'm well aware of the difference between a windmill and a wind turbine. I live in Iowa, they're everywhere. This is nothing new to me. What I'm laughing at is you attempting to make it sound like Trump isn't referring to wind turbines when he says windmill.

You're a good lil keyboard warrior for him though, Mr. Not a Republican Only a Conservative ;)

Other than looking sexy, is that windmill doing anything for your marigolds? Like is it pumping cancer water to them?
That would be a wind pump which is different in “purpose, output, and design”. Now you’ve thrown hammers into the comparison.

I think you missed my post where I said that Trump called the wind turbines "windmills", and where I said a only made the distinction because an OP used the terms together.

Geez, you guys will go to any extent to try to make a dumb point.

Yesterday Trump couldn't even remember the word for "video." He said "motion cameras," yet ol Ned thinks he knows the difference between a windmill and a wind turbine, and uses the terms accurately.

These people are always bending over backwards attempting to make Trump sound like anything but a complete fucan moron.
your saying something NED said, that he didn't say....

I did no such thing. I used two separate words in order to make sure that I covered the waterfront there.
