Exactly.... A lot of what she does... doesn't even show up in the stats.

The "gravity" that she pulls for k opposing defenses.... The "hockey assists". Where she initiates great ball movement.
Exactly. Like some clowns can't understand why Mitchell's career stats have blown up since the Fever signed Clark. Just a question was Mitchell an All star at this caliber prior to that?

My opinion is that her job is to be the best basketball player and team member she can be for the Indiana Fever. I think her comment right or wrong has created a distraction for her team and an uncomfortable position for her teammates. I'm not saying she should shut up and play, but I do think team members have the responsibilty to consider how their words or actions might impact their team.
Kind of what Clark said, While I'm sure she wants to have Sophie's back at the same time, it would be nice if these interviews were about basketball....

Can you post the entire Sophie quote please? Also what social issues is Clark getting **** on about?
You're not serious. Clark has been blitzed by players, former players, fans and talking heads on the tube and social media for not being "More outspoken" about whatever their current dumb stance is. One called her "the worst kind of white racist" because she didn't use her influence to speak out more feverently when Thomas supposedly got death threats.

In the ESPN article, Cunningham said she wanted to “protect young girls in the locker room” and that “they shouldn’t have to go against biological men.” This entire sentence is an exact copy and paste and not my written interpretation. As far as CC, all you have to do is to take one second to listen to the "experts" on ESPN and other outlets to hear them say she should be more vocal about the issues. It drives them crazy that she won't.
Same thing MJ went through only not as bad as Clark. Her situation is 100 times worse because she's white and straight in a league that is predominantly neither.

Well here's a column from USA Today basically saying that her flopping could lead to modern day lynching of black athletes with a reference to Emmitt Till, and she's responsible.

And here's where ESPN's most notorious African-American racist, Monica McNutt, says CC needs to show more accountability for black players being harassed by psycho crazy "fans".

So yeah, this is two examples of sports media pundits placing the burden of systemic racism in America on CC.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but so is the vast majority of the WNBA as well as the Iowa WBB program. Jan Jensen, Kate Martin, Monika Czinano, Raina Harmon are all proudly bi/pan/lesbians. Hannah Steulke and Kennise Johnson briefly dated. Molly Davis and AJ Edigar were a couple for a long time. Lisa Bluder is a democrat (check her husband's IG). Jada Gyamfi is a very outspoken progressive -- especially when it comes to LGBT rights. Czinano is dating a non-binary person. Kate Martin is a vegan. Boogie is a proudly progressive black woman. She follows all of your least favorite outspoken liberal women on IG.

CC22 and her boyfriend are also democrats. He famously attended the Women's March in Iowa City and re-posted the pic of CC22 and Obama with *blue* hearts to his story. If you're not "woke", no one who actually plays or cares about this sports gives a sh*t what you think. You're cheering for the wrong sport and not welcome. Sophie has been one of the most unpopular players within the league for *years* because of her politics and dirty play style -- and that's only increasing now. My guess is she will be cut from the Fever this off-season because a role player should not be creating so much bad press or bad blood within the league. I promise you that Steph White, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell are not comfortable with her position and she will not be welcome back.
Lolol.. Sophie is a dirty player, and yet AT is applauded as one of the top players??

Serious Q: has anyone surveyed WNBA players on their sexual preference? If the league is predominantly or mostly lesbian how would one know?

I kind of ignore social media because the majority of **** stirrers on FB and X are just trolls trying to start controversy. I also only watch the games not the pregame commentary or the sports talk shows. Podcasts cater to their specific audiences and controversy sells. Most of it is overblown.

Yeah, Cheryl Reeve should be ashamed of herself.

Millions tuned in yesterday afternoon to watch Caitlin Clark and some BASKETBALL on ABC.

Great for the WNBA, right?

Nope. Those millions tuning in were constantly exposed to Cheryl Reeve's theater and manufactured outrage:

…… and she could not where a “trans basketball players belong” shirt because there are none.

Opinion articles meant to sell views. You know what they say about a holes and opinions, everyone has one.

CC seems to handle it well and President Obama gave her good advice.

I agree and I loved her conversation with Obama, as well as his advice for her to ignore the nonsense. I was just answering your question of what social issues has CC been **** on about. I'd say one of the biggest news organizations in the nation running a column about how CC's actions could lead to racist lynchings and ESPN's leading WNBA analyst saying CC needs to be accountable for racist psycho fans harassing WNBA players would qualify as a valid answer.

And Martina Navratilova is very happy about that for basketball.

And she is also very happy about what's discussed in the story that follows, when it comes to women's tennis. Should the WNBA do the same type of testing? After all, what is there to hide? :)

You answer was valid, I just think their opinions are overblown on purpose for clicks and views. ESPN stinks and I only watch it when a game I'm interested in airs on their network.

All true, but these are two of the biggest news and sports news outlets on the planet. When they make these crazy, racist assertions against CC it gets circulated around the world. Overblown, for sure. But also seen and read by millions upon millions.

You know what they say about opinions and a$$holes……

social media has given us the opportunity to hear every a$$holes opinion …..I’d argue the world was a better place before it

No one looks back on their deathbed and says I wish I’d of spent more time arguing with anonymous strangers on the internet…..

Martina Navratilova agreed with this story from FOX News & retweeted this tweet to her followers.

But what does one of the greatest female tennis players of all time know?
