The most disturbing aspect of RFKs interview yesterday wasn’t the vaccine misinfo or the Fauci bashing- we expected that. It was that America’s top health official in no way seems to have a plan or takes any ownership of historic (and harmful + costly) outbreaks occurring on his watch.
Leadership isn’t blaming everything on others – it’s acknowledging there’s a problem and you’re the boss and saying “I will deal with it.” instead we are told that increasing outbreaks – the likes of which we’ve not had in decades (or ever) – are now the price for our “freedom.”

In early February 2020, the initial global death rate reported by the World Health Organization and China was around 2% to 3.4%. In his diary, Fauci noted that this number was artificially inflated because thousands of mild or asymptomatic cases weren't being counted yet. He estimated the actual fatality rate was much lower, closer to 0.2% or 0.3%.
Yall claim this proves he knew the virus wasn't exceptionally dangerous and lied to the public to enforce lockdowns. However, this wasn't a secret admission—Fauci published an editorial in the New England Journal of Medicine that exact same month (February 28, 2020) publicly stating that the true mortality rate might be below 1% once mild and asymptomatic cases were factored in.

Ultimately, Fauci used the ~1% estimate to combat the rising public narrative that COVID-19 was "just the flu," aiming to shock the public into taking preventative measures more seriously. And he should have- it was a novel virus, different from the flu, that would kill a shocking amount of people (it did).
