I believe the dark blue was originally an alternate. I would expect to see the new light blue jerseys more but hell we only have 4 home games. lol
I like the new home jerseys and the away uniforms. There was a dark time when we went to White helmets. We try to forget about those years. Devine brought the brand back and was not afraid to make small changes in the process. I believe the seniors pick the uniforms or have in the past as far as what we wear.

Rulz,
You are correct. The county games this year are tough. All new QB's in our systems and you just never know. I will say this, come playoff time CC Football will be dangerous in all 4 classes we represent. I don't know what happens between now and then but come Nov. Look out!!

When I see polls with Ashbrook as state title contenders this year I disregard them altogether. Ashbrook lost 34 seniors, every starter on defense, and most of their offensive starters but they are a state title contender lol. Ashbrook gonna be battling Huss for that 4th/5th spot in the Big South.

This is very true.

I definitely don’t think they will be as good as the team they had last year (which was very good). However I don’t think they fall all the way down to the bottom of your conference. They still have the players to be closer to the top than to the bottom. There will still be a huge gap between the top 4 (which they will be in) and the bottom 3.
Ashbrook isn't close to where they were the last couple years. Light years difference away. If the conference is a little down from where it was last year that'll help them for sure....but last year Ashbrook team would beat this year's team by 47 points.

We agree, they will not be as good as last year.

You guys ought to post it everyday to remind the schools who are scrapping and pleading just to make sure they have pregame meals for the kids…OH WAIT….

I am truly joking, this is super impressive and the standard for all schools to strive for.
It is a great thing to do but you would be surprised at how many schools do this privately for different reasons. Some do it privately because they don't want it known that a lot of their players will not get a meal when they leave. I have seen it first hand. There are players that live with coaches in some schools to just have a chance.

That hurt me dude. I ain't kidding either.

I hate the thought of any kid hurting for food. If you know of any let me know. I'll kick on in and I don't care who they play for. I don't even have to know who it is.

The unfortunate thing, it has been happening all around for years. The kids that were fed at Crest last night could have very well fed a kid that would not have gotten anything until today. I am not saying there was one but it does happen more frequently than people think. I have known coaches and supporters that have taken kids into their own homes and made sure they were taken care of. It is sad but it happens more than it ever should. If you have done anything to contribute to the meal program at Crest then you very well could be doing more than you know.

Crest does not have a lot of money to my knowledge. There are folks who work very hard and we also fund raise to have money to do all of this stuff. Football is important to us, no doubt but our kids are more important. It cost a lot of money to have a program like we have and fans should chip in if it is possible for them to do so. They don't play. I get messages all the time from kids trying to raise money. Or the Future Chargers needing this and that. I'll be hitting them up soon to do my part.

Hard work and fan involvement is essential to run a program like ours or any of the County schools.. KM is the anomaly, they got a dude! Yet, they still put in the work.

I agree with 99.5% of what you just posted. KM’s finances aren’t just Brinkley, the KM businesses and alumni are huge consistent supporters of the athletic programs. Brinkley is a huge part of how to successfully manage those funds generated and of course he gives. Don’t be fooled, KM has many people who contribute to our athletic programs. The KM business sponsors list is long. These businesses volunteer to feed our athletes while also contributing financially. One of the advantages of having a school that is more than 100 years old is that you have an insane amount of alumni. The KM TD Club has a lot of members. There are a lot of alumni that are doing really well financially who gives back. KM athletics are the only show in town, it does not have to split money with any other high schools in town. I believe that is the biggest advantage that we have over many. The second biggest advantage is that we haven’t waited years for the County to give us or approve funds for upgrades, we just figure out a way to raise the funds. Being the red headed step child in the county means that we try harder.
I will say that we are blessed in KM and also Cleveland County overall when it comes to support for our athletic programs when it comes to resources. Believe it or not I was extremely happy to see both Crest and Burns get much needed upgrades to their stadiums and weight rooms. Financially Kings Mountain and Shelby both have had some resource advantages over our county brethren. From my point of view every kid deserves every chance we can give them to chase their dreams. Education, facilities, nutrition, and other support are part of that equation. Make no mistake, the KM fan base works extremely hard to give these kids what they need to succeed.

I wasn't hating on KM bro. I literally said y'all put the work in. I know it's more than Brinkley. It doesn't hurt to have a man like Brinkley in the fold. But, I know that whole town is involved and that is what it takes.

You are 100 percent correct. Waiting on Cleveland County is DOOM! - Got to go get what you want. PERIOD! We needed a new scoreboard and over 220k was raised in a matter of months. Got to do what you got to do.
