Many years ago I was in a deal with a really honest guy that I respected and he dropped $3000 into a deal that went South and I had assured him he was ok and had nothing to lose

I was lucky on the deal and the money I was going to put in stayed safe and sound but I walked away from this small change deal 39 years ago .

About 10 years ago I was reflecting on doing the right thing in life and one day did a long appraisal of what I did in that deal moral Christian and right.

The guy had no recourse and He was unable to try and get money from me.

I really in reflection did a huge disservice to a man whose trust and respect I lost. To me that is more than gold itself and I was a prick to let it happen.

So the next day I looked him up on the internet found his home address and went to the bank and had them cut A $10,000.00 Cashiers Check to him

He nor I need the money. It’s just the moral principle of the thing.

The $7000 premium could never buy back what I lost between he and I. For that I am really sorry

My fault not his fault

Do any of you guys ever reflect on doing the right thing and THEN DO IT

That’s pretty honorable, man.

I’m a little confused. Were you a Christian back at the time of the deal or are you saying you became Christian later on and reflected back on the wrong?

Always have practiced Christianity

Best way I can say it is I liked Money too much instead of liking doing the right thing not enough

I have since got a better feel for righter or wronged

Just last night watched a children’s cartoon on Lazarus and the RICH man about the difference approach’s to wealth being appreciated. Versus having enough to subsist

It’s tough to figure out when you should be altruistic and generous to someone being helping hand is different from giving to a person who lives a parasitic life

Always err on the side of being kind

My wife and I were discussing a.situation where. My next door neighbor’s child was in her typing class and a senior and had an 69 to graduate

Was it cruel to fail him so he couldn’t graduate with his class

The dude was a good kid and really would never use typing in his life

I tried to get my wife to bend her iron rules

Well she failed him then

Today she says she should have passed him

Cannot change past

And it can have a huge impact on the future of a child

Everyone has vices. Money is a huge lure for a lot of people, religious or not. If struggling with greed now and then is your worst hangup, you’re probably doing all right.

I appreciate the anecdote about your wife and the kid in the typing class. It’s interesting your wife views it differently in hindsight. I will keep that lesson in mind from here on out.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and church day.

I thought that story which is true carries a lot of good and bad messages

At 22 her perspective was one way. Now at 74 she says why did I not use some common sense.

Because knowledge without wisdom is a terrible thing.

I look at may posts on here and think to myself sometimes about are we trying to do a serious conversation or are we just a bunch of half drunk men full of BS and trying to smartbass

Just to add more to the story that young man about 15 years after graduating committed suicide by shooting himself in the head

I have wondered to this very day did that 69 have anything to do with it

Well she had justification and was in the right

Sometimes being perfectly right is just not the right thing to do

When it comes to business your word is everything. You break it once and it will cost you more than whatever mistake you made.

I’ve made several mistakes that I would like to have over, but my word is good. I’d rather eat the loss than lose my reputation as an honest broker.

This. I’ve made bad hires, bad business deals, and more. But I’ve never cheated on a partner or ducked an obligation. The strength of my relationships are why I overcame the bad hires and bad deals.

Keep your word and you will be given grace when you need it. When a trusted partner does the same I give them grace.

This is exactly why I never voted for Trump in 2016. I would never do a deal with Trump. Zero chance.

He is everything I abhor in business. And we gave him the keys to the kingdom.

Even though I agree with the majority of the Trump policies I do find myself at times thinking I wish this could be handled differently

Now when I say that the howling ranting insane TDS takes over and jumps on the I hate Trump train

For those who have never been involved in business or government everyone in the deal gets a vote and what you want is not always the. Final deal

Got to do the best you can

called compromise

The one thing that turns me off with the TDS folks is they always take the I hate Trump road instead of explaining why the Trump policies are bad and what are the alternative policies that they would propose and fund

Of course all complaining is a strategy but I don’t like it

Yeah, anonymous message boards should obviously be taken with a grain of salt. I enjoy bantering and being a little stupid (like showing off my bod and tattoos), but I also enjoy somewhat intellectually engaging conversations. Sometimes, though, it’s challenging to know when someone is actually sincere about a belief and when someone is just trolling and/or highly intoxicated on something. When I settle on deciding it’s the latter, I just quit engaging/responding.

I don’t mind people flipping me some sh*t now and then (i.e., “Fagnar”), but I do mind when people start bullying someone who is actually LGBTQ. And I see that happen a lot on here. That’s when my good nature turns a little…cantankerous. Because it can and does lead to tragedies—violence and self harm.

Unfortunately, I have encountered suicide too much in my life, personally and professionally. In May 2025, a week before school was out for the summer, we had a 14-year-old girl lie out on the railroad tracks when seeing an approaching train. I can’t begin to fathom what was going so horribly wrong in her brain (and life), that she would choose to die in such a horrible manner, but that’s exactly what she did.

For me, it is impossible to know what pushes someone over the edge like that. But I am guessing it’s usually the culmination of a lot of things, and I highly doubt your wife not passing the one whom you mentioned was any sort of decisive factor in his unfortunate decision to end his life prematurely. But I am sorry to learn of this tragic passing and the impact it has had on your family and everyone else who knew him.

I think I already mentioned this, but you really do remind me of one of my uncles.

I have been accused of TDS - which I wear like a badge of honor. In my defense if you look through a history of my posts you will see me argue policy - alot. But you will also see me argue Trump is unfit for office because of his psychological and intellectual deficits. I think policy matters, but the leader matters just as much (more in a crisis). And I am consistent on that front. By way of example I think Bill Clinton is a predatory scumbag who should be in prison not on the lucrative speaking circuit despite the fact he balanced the budget and was a "good" policy president.

After all, what policy does Trump actually stand for? He ran on lower prices, no foreign wars and kicking out violent illegals. What we got was higher prices, more foreign wars and goons in the street going after both the citizens and non-violent illegals alike. On two of the biggest policy planks he won on he literally did the opposite of what he said he would do and on immigration his team is literally violating the consistution to get the job done.

And for me that comes on top of who he is as a leader. He is a sexual predator, a cheater in business, a bully, an abject idiot and a sociopathic narcissist.

So if that means I have TDS, so be it. Like I said I wear it like a badge of honor.

Now let's look at his supporters. As far as I can tell most of the people who label me with TDS seem to be just fine deep throating a man who literally broke his policy promises to them simply because he acts like an a$$hole. It find that bizarre to be honest. Way more strange than those of us with TDS who think Trump is the worst president of our lifetime.

I was a lifelong Republican until 2021 (I did not vote for Trump in 2016 or at any time for that matter). There were very few actual Trump policies I disagreed with his first term, but leadership and integrity were once considered part of the deal, but for some reason such principles were completely forlorn by conservatives when it came to the all-time most egregious offender of them. I still don’t get it.

Oh, and for Trump’s second term, forget it. If Biden engaged in threatening Canada, Denmark, etc.; wildly and capriciously slapped insane tariffs on again, off again; decided to lose interest in full transparency of what’s in the Epstein Files after campaigning on it; and got us in an absurd war with Iran with no actual planning or strategy and with no end in sight that would produce a favorable outcome for the United States and its allies, I am guessing you and others’ view of Biden’s policies would be a tad uh…nuanced in comparison to how you feel about those policies today since they are the policies of Donald Trump.

And not only are Trump’s second-term policies egregious, his malignant narcissism has been exacerbated by his alarming rate of cognitive decline and impairment.

As you mentioned, the problem is Trump’s most loyal supporters have fortified themselves inside the Fort Knox of irrationality by branding anything perceived as negative about Trump as “TDS.” It’s as insane as locking out the outside world to follow Jim Jones while believing it’s everyone else with the derangement syndrome.

Except you've talked about how you lived in the "gray area" (that's a term criminals use to rationalize their actions) of financial transactions, and had to repeatedly justify yourself to regulators.

The problem here is that, by your own account, it took you many, many years to figure out the inappropriateness of your actions, which good and moral folks know, immediately, were wrong.

So no one should hold out much, if any hope, that you'll ever figure out that pledging your fealty to a felonious, sexual predating self-serving swindler was not a smart or righteous move.

Sketchy deal that I was supporting because I was going to make money on the transaction

Friend asked me or now former close friend at the time asked me did I think it was deal and I said I am planning to buy some in like $10,000.00

So he thinking with my blessing he bought into deal even small as it was and it ended up as a scam which I was not aware of but should have smelled it out

Me I held out and never invested the $10,000.00 just on a gut feel

The answer is I should have warned my friend to bail out

At that time that money was important to him because he was saving for kids college

I was wrong on so many levels to get the gut feel and not steer him out

That to me was bad enough

Dude lost the $3000

I kind of blew him off at that moment with that’s how investing works lose some win some

His first term decorum and policies weren't any different. This has been the lost cause part 2 since the am radio hosts started talking about his decent on the golden escalator. No matter how much anyone hates Hillary Clinton or has been conditioned to conflate PBS with Soviet Russia.

Really?

Sure, he was uncouth his first term, but as age and senility has set in, it has gotten progressively worse.

As far as policies are concerned, are you kidding? Did I miss his threats to take over Greenland and annex Canada his first term? I must have been living under under a rock when Trump did the TACO Tariff Tango with the world, and I absolutely had to have been in a coma when Trump started a war against an ME country.

One point that I find disappointing with ANYONE complaining about TRUMP is when he came down the elevator in 2015 that started a campaign of terrorism and insurrection against the LEGAL PROCESS OF A DEMOCRATIC AMERICA.

I do not under any circumstances think Trump is perfect but I look at what the opposition did with using the government to create a Russian narrative along with anything and everything to throw at Trump

The conduct I saw from everyone not liking Trump is FAR WORSE THAN TRUMP

THE TDS AND NAME CALLING AND LIES ARE FAR EXCEEDING THE TRUMP SINS

Just want you TDSers to know that

Even when Trump stinks it up I hold my nose and say swallow that because it beats the crap outa what the TDSers are selling

Personally I see NOTHING OF POLICY FROM TDS except that policy is hate on the US

So I will continue my LOVING THE TRUMP TRAIN AS LONG AS IT RUNS AND HOPE IT CAN STAY ON THE TRACKS IN SPITE OF THE RADICAL UNHINGED OPPOSITION

Paragraph 2: Our intelligence agencies determined Russia tried to interfere with the 2016 election. Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel indicted over 30 people and corporations which led to multiple guilty pleas and one conviction. Those are facts. You know what isn’t a fact? That Barrack Obama was born outside the United States. So, no, Trump is not a victim.

Paragraph 3: Then you have pigeon sh*t in your eyes.

Paragraph 4: Honestly, who cares? Trump is POTUS. I don’t care if it’s Obama Derangement Syndrome or Trump Derangement Syndrome. The POTUS has the responsibility to remain magnanimous and uphold the dignity of the presidency. Grow up, Donnie.

Paragraph 5: Yes, I think every “TDSer” has a pretty good idea how you feel about Orange Jesus.

Paragraph 6: Trust me, no one cares to know what all you’re willing to swallow for Trump.

Paragraph 7: Ah, of course. The “Love it or leave it” virtue signaling piggybacking on top of the “No True Scotsman” fallacy. Impressive.

Paragraph 8:

Peace be with you, knucklehead.

If illegal why is he not being prosecuted

All I hear is complaints and nothing as to solid provable court evidence

EVER YOU DUDES HAVE BEEN AT TRUMP FOR 10 years PLUS AND ALL YOU FOLKS HAVE IS NOTHING

GIVE IT UP
Honestly, and I am being serious here, I hope you live out the rest of your years in peace and happiness.

I just don’t believe you day drinking and rage typing bovine scatology about Donald Trump’s unimpeachable morals and character is the best means for you to achieve that.

I mean, huh?

I guess you did forget him getting into a mutual threat of nuclear war with North Korea, and the tarrifs levied against Canada and Mexico inorder to put together a new and worse trade agreement that was abandoned for more tarrifs by him. Then there was the whole learning Puerto Rico was an island that could tip over if we didn't launch a nuke full of sharpies at hurricane leading to his record inauguration crowds photo to look underwhelming. Tough stuff for a man that won a landslide victory while also losing the popular vote.

Even if you have forgotten those things surely you didn't forget him denying the results of an election and fomenting an unruly mob to attack the national Capitol in order to stop the VP from certifying the election?

There's a million and half lies about covid, fbi, negotiating woth terrorist organizations, national forest service, ect.

It was so very bad that even people that claimed not to have voted for him or learned their lesson still don't talk about the last 25% of his term as if he had any part of it.

All of his individuals making money on investments) were the direct result of one of the biggest Wallstreet bailouts in the history of man.

He sucked then and he sucks now, there's no way around it.

Apparently you missed his many felony convictions, his being liable for sexual assault and … well, all the rest.

He is a piece of sh*t who should be rotting in prison.

Believe me, the last thing I want to be guilty of is white knighting for Trump.

The greater point is there is no excuse for still supporting Trump today. Anyone who still does I will never be able to trust. You’re either a piece of sh*t or your judgment is that off. In the case of the OP, I am pretty sure it’s the latter.

Geez man. This post right here is precisely why you should not be taken seriously by anyone on this board. You called out TDS and the motives behind it only to have, at a minimum, 2 excellent responses in post 18 and 20 to which not only you completely disregarded, but double down with the nonsense in this post. Good grief.

Here are said posts for you once again. Let’s see if you have any solid retort besides hail trump.
