Many years ago I was in a deal with a really honest guy that I respected and he dropped $3000 into a deal that went South and I had assured him he was ok and had nothing to lose
I was lucky on the deal and the money I was going to put in stayed safe and sound but I walked away from this small change deal 39 years ago .
About 10 years ago I was reflecting on doing the right thing in life and one day did a long appraisal of what I did in that deal moral Christian and right.
The guy had no recourse and He was unable to try and get money from me.
I really in reflection did a huge disservice to a man whose trust and respect I lost. To me that is more than gold itself and I was a prick to let it happen.
So the next day I looked him up on the internet found his home address and went to the bank and had them cut A $10,000.00 Cashiers Check to him
He nor I need the money. It’s just the moral principle of the thing.
The $7000 premium could never buy back what I lost between he and I. For that I am really sorry
My fault not his fault
Do any of you guys ever reflect on doing the right thing and THEN DO IT
