PSU alum who came to PSU to play OL for Joe, but was dismissed from the team. He stayed and graduated though.
Though I've heard it said before (here and elsewhere), I question if it's actually true....if I had to bet on it, I'd say it's not.

It is true.
Do you have first hand knowledge of this? I'm relatively sure it isn't (well, at least the full story that's been put out there).

My belief is that it was mentioned in an article once (not sure how well researched the article was), then others picked up on it and told the story. Too many things don't make sense with it.

I have a connection to Dom. I’ll leave it at that. He went to PSU to play and never did. That’s the bottom line. I don’t know what big story you are referring to. Just telling you what I know. I don’t have knowledge of the details.

He was on a football scholarship at PSU under Joe (in what I assume was the late 90s)? Yet his name never appears on a single roster or in a preseason media guide his freshman year, never appeared in any old recruiting stuff that I can find from the late 90s, his name never appeared once in the Collegian when he (a scholarship football player) was dismissed, a player that I talked to that played in the late 90s doesn't remember him at all, and though he's a PSU grad, he doesn't appear as a grad in the Alumni database (as either Dom or Dominic)?

I have nothing beyond all of that to go on (and the article from 2003 mentioning him as a PSU grad and former scholarship player under Joe, which was likely the source for all future articles since they all say the exact same thing), so it seemed very fishy. Did he graduate from University Park?

Tgar is tired of seeing people in the stands at Sporting event with their hands clasped praying for a specific outcome.

Jesus, God, Yahweh, Jerry Garcia, Buddha, Ozzie and Cee Cee, Elvis, and many others roaming the warm and fuzzy part of outer space do not care about sports or your feelings when your team gets crushed.

You left out Father Guido Sarducci.
