Things said unironically in the other thread explaining their position (all of it is truly batshit crazy btw):

1. Democrats purposely started covid and unleashed it against the world to keep trump from being elected
2. Democrats love Fauci because they're a cult
3. Fauci lied about everything and the dems won't believe it
4. Everything about covid was planned to create a new world order and Fauci was the mechanism if not the brains behind the operation
5. Fauci incriminated himself in his private journal and spouted lies that contradicted it publicly
6. Covid started in the Wuhan lab that Fauci was funding ipso facto he started/unleashed the virus
7. Everything about the pandemic was a lie, and Fauci/the Dems are responsible from masking, social distancing, the danger of the virus, and the efficacy of the vaccine while downplaying the danger of the vaccine
8. I'm still unsure WHY maga thinks Fauci/the dems did this to 7 billion people, but its something about control and the aforementioned new world order they were trying (or did? unclear) to establish

Now, in 2026, our nation is now run by an administration of conspiracy theorists and their cabal of conspiracy theorist minions. Insane times man!

Explain like I'm 5.
Oh boy, there's an 18 page thread on that right now that continually gets added to by every maga on the board and it's wild, but basically they blame him for creating, spreading and lying about covid but Trump did nothing wrong.

Just one example:

The Democrats released a pandemic on the world in an attempt to maintain their goal of a one world government and the dems want to talk about Trumps approval ratings......

Could be wrong, but on HROT, I thought you refrained a few times on what Fauci was recommending?

When Covid was happening in real time, there was some much crap going around and the world needed a central figure to navigate through everything. And everyone painted Fauci as that person as what he said was the Gospel. Sadly, from his own diaries, what he was saying to the nation/world was different from his own personal recollection.

Do we have Post of the Year nominations on this board?

If so, I nominate this one ^.

I don't drink Kool Aid from anybody including Dr. Fauci, but he is an MD/PhD, and most of the people questioning him barely got past high school. I've substantially disagreed with Dr. Fauci, especially in so far as the gain of function research is concerned along with China's involvement in unchecked virus research.

Can you share some of those inconsistencies? Genuine question not a gotcha. My algorithm obviously leans left, and is giving more news about how he seemed to genuinely care for and reach out to the Miller's who keep calling for him to be in jail. So can you share some?

I don't remember that being the case, if anything I think that is what people that believe the vaccine is more likely to result in heart inflammation than the first couple variants of covid want the story to be so the argument is on faith instead of logic.

America still doesn't seem to understand the difference between a personal care provider and a public health official, and their respective responsibilities.

"One conclusion (from the diary) is that on important points Dr. Fauci was both wrong and dishonest. For instance, he and allies in the government-science industrial complex still cling to the theory that Covid-19 evolved naturally in animal populations before spreading to humans.

Yet on Feb. 1, 2020, his diary records a meeting with a dozen prominent virologists in which only two credited this “natural origins” theory. The rest suspected the virus might have been created artificially, not least because a leading scientist in Wuhan, Shi Zhengli, was known to engage in the sort of gain-of-function research that could produce such a result.

The diary suggests that by Jan. 26, 2020, Dr. Fauci believed the virus hadn’t originated in the Wuhan wet market, often identified as the source by natural-origin advocates. This didn’t stop him and allies from painting skeptics of the natural-origin theory as politicized cranks and conspiracy theorists. Previously released documents shed light on how Dr. Fauci orchestrated publication of a scientific paper to suppress the theory that Covid leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology."

He also graduated #1 in his class at Cornell Medical school.

I'm not Republican. I'm Libertarian, which is probably worse in the eyes of liberals. I hate government control.

You aren't upset that you got jabbed 8 or 9 times under false pretenses?

COVID Vaccine and Migraines

Lmao did you read your link??

It doesn't say what you think it says:

"Our preliminary data point to a negligible role of the infection and vaccination on migraine worsening and to the possible presence of a nocebo effect in these settings, as a remarkable proportion of patients had a clear perception of migraine worsening."

In a 2022 analysis of Google Scholar citations, Dr. Fauci ranked as the 44th most-cited living researcher. According to the Web of Science, Dr. Fauci ranked 9th out of 3.3 million authors in the field of immunology by total citation count between 1980 and April 2022. During the same period, he ranked 22th out of 3.3 million authors in the field of research & experimental medicine, and 715th out of 1.4 million authors in the field of general & internal medicine.

What's the controversy with his diary?

It doesn't take an education to recognize the difference between someone's public words and private words.

It doesn't take an education to recognize inconsistencies between public statements and real life events.

Having an education doesn't keep someone from being ambitious and ultimately ethically challenged. Having an education doesn't prevent someone from lying when their ethical failing hurts people, and being terrified of being blamed.

What's your point? Do you think Fauci actually did hands-on research most of his career?

Are you always intentionally obtuse? Have all the jabs addled your brain?

I get that it's got to be really tough to admit how wrong you were to trust Fauci and make so many public statements about how many jabs you were taking.
JFC you people. Provide one example of public comment contradicting private comment.

All of this nonsense is the usual smoke from the usual smoke artists.

It was the novel coronovirus, Fauci and other health care professionals can't be held responsible for what they didn't know when they didn't know it, they were providing guidance based on the best available evidence at the time they were giving that guidance. They effing said so at the time.

This whole Fauci nonsense is yet another prime example of the nonsense land that "conservatives" inhabit these days.

Shitstain pretty much announced that his second term was going to beat "revenge tour" during the campaign.

Fauci shaking his head while Trump spouted some bull crap during Covid lived in people's minds as Biden beat Trump in 2020.
Oddly enough, if Trump had won in 2020, we would not be fighting an unwinnable war right now.
