If Howard can have a huge year and be an all B10 guy along with Sowell and Eskildsen being solid contributors then our WR performance will be the best in years. Also, don't forget we have a real WR coach and a real OC who will have a system that fits our QB.

Speaking of QB, I am also excited to see Becht in action. He seems to be a gritty, tough athlete in the mold of Trace and Campbell really likes him and has confidence in him so that says something.

I've learned to temper my expectations with regard to wide receivers at Penn State. I don't expect anything near 1000 yards...hell i will be happy as long as we don't go entire games without a wr reception.

Rocco doesn't remind me of Trace...but the guy who I actually think he reminds me of is Matt McGloin. He's a lot closer to that than Trace. McGloin was a damn good quarterback who doesn't get his due from this fan base.

I look forward to a run heavy offense. I think we'll see alot of 12 and 13 personnel, since TE (barring injury) should be the real strength, That doesn't preclude the occasional shot down the field. I think unfortunately, a key asset could beBecht running ( I like making college Ds account for the QB) but the QB room is not a strength and protecting RB will be priority #1. In short, this Offense may be more like 2024 than many wish to admit.
Yes very TE heavy. And nailbiter close games.

I think Howard will be lucky to get 600 yds. After all there's only one football. The nation's #1 passer typically gets about 4,000 yds. #10 gets about 3,500 yds so that's probably a good goal. Here's my rough guess of how those passing yards will be divided.

Sowell 800
Eskildsen 600
Howard 600
Other WRs 300

Rappleyea 300
Brahmer 300
Burkle 200
Other TEs 100

Looks like a doable distribution.
