Freddy and Sean are only Juniors though. Including incoming college freshman Mocco at 285, Calkins Jr at 197, Duffy at 149/157, and Pettit at 133/141, we have all weight classes filled except 184. This year Iowa should focus on 174/184 prospects mainly in my opinion.
With the new 5 for 5 rule does Nasir get another year in the line up if he wishes? If so wouldn't that mean everyone but Williams would be back for the 27/28 season? We could slot in one of the 2027 recruits(Bachman) at 49/57 whichever Block is not at.

I have been saying they would both be back lawyers at many universities were telling them to prepare for any athlete who went 4 straight coming back
ALL… It makes sense to me. The kids who redshirted and wrestled four years followed the rules which were current THEN. The new rules will apparently make them all eligible?

Huh? Caliendo took a RS in 2022. Drake took one in 2023.

I don't think so. It says all class of 22 who used four years. If a class of 22 took a RS they would have only used three years so far.
Exactly a guy like Caleb Henson would not have redshirted last year if he knew he would get an extra year.
My understanding is that it might get a Senate vote this week . But the house would need to vote on it in September. At that time athletes from 2022 who get a 5th year will be playing football and others will have enrolled. If it passes both the Senate and House and is signed it would be for the future and wouldn't have any effect on the judges ruling in Colorado. It wouldn't make 2022 guys ineligible
Interesting broadside from The Texas Trial Group. I, too, cringed when Baker called the athletes failed professionals. Kind of exposes the lie of their, "X% of athletes go pro in something other than sports" feel-good-but-don't-pay-them ad campaign.

You don't declare what you're doing. If he decides he's coming back next year he would get 5 years. Compliance departments will track eligibility.
