Will Penn State file any requests for additional eligibility waivers? Ono? Connor Mirasola? (Was he injured—-he did not wrestle past December). Kasak? (Concussions)

Any other team requests? Oklahoma State…Norman or Ryder?

Kennedy Martin (1st team AA vb) may get another year for Penn State.

I would think the NCAA ruling on a 5th year for Levi and Mendez needs to happen before the start of the current academic year…

I emailed FLOs Jon Kozak to ask FLO Radio show to explain who requested what and how the NCAA responded...

As I read the order, everyone from 2022 gets grandfathered if they want it.

You can't find out who put in for a medical it's not public and can't request it with HIPPA

I don't think Kasak can be the same wrestler at 149, but if even 95% I am fully on board with him taking SVN to the limit. Different styles but SVN is a bit of an enigma against the most elite guys. He has looked like a sure fire champ against anyone who isn't a high AA for several years now, but just doesn't get it done. Kasak seemed to have gassed against Blaze or he would already be a champ. That match had me worried back then that the cut was already borderline too much, granted he started the year as a 149.

I hope the Levi situation gets completely sorted out with the NCAA within the next week or so at the latest. Poor old PJ has a Turkey leg in one hand and a key to the sauna in the other not knowing which to go with and almost too little time for either.

University lawyers have been telling them be ready for it to happen so it's been expected. That's been happening all over . So teams are prepared for it in all sports it won't make it much easier but they've been expecting it.

To your point, I don't think Kasak can maintain a weight cut to 149 for a three day tournament and remain at high efficiency.

The schools, the coaches, and the wrestlers all know NOW and may not want to share and are certainly are not required to. NCAA isn't going to waste money in court for a one year ruling. They will putting out a statement very soon that while they do not agree, they will accept.

I don't remember them ever announcing who filed for medicals in the past. Maybe some mentioned it in conversation in the past but no one made it a point to announce medicals. You said it will be public soon enough so what's the issue?

I don’t know, Googles told me a couple years ago that he wasn’t a 57 because he spent a couple of months at 41. Compared him to Bartlett at 49.

i don’t know if he’s going to 49, but I do know that most people on this board severely underestimate what guys can do when they put their mind to it. Most things that people think are off the table are on if people put there mind to it in the right way - up or down. And PSU is a place where the right way is pretty much standard (pretty much, not 100%).
