Sweatpants and sweatshirts (sometimes) in the summer?

I run hot so summer can be miserable depending on the humidity and other things. I'm always in shorts and tank top/tshirt.

Recently I've noticed people wearing sweatpants and sometimes even a sweatshirt in 90° hear with high humidity. Why!?!! I sweat just thinking about it and how miserable it must be. They seem unfazed.

Anyone else notice this happening recently? Jeans? Sure for others. Sweatpants and hoodie? GTFO

I wouldn't do sweat pants but long sleeves and pants of a light color is fine. It keeps the sun off your skin which also heats you up. It worked on the Middle East for us fellas.

I assume they were young people? You are describing the official high school uniform in 2026. Regardless of temp, that's what they wear.

If I'm going shopping especially in a store that sells groceries I'll often wear a sweatshirt when it's hot outside. Stores like my local HyVee are freezing inside. The employees are usually wearing long sleeves as well.

I don’t know about “recently”, people have been slobs in public for at least a generation and a half.
