Probably doesn’t know about male on male action either. He’s missing out on a LOT!!You don't know about Medicare and don't have an opinion on Medicare ... which is why you told your retired parents they should decline it?

Amen to this part. The amount of money wasted on patients at the end of their lives is obscene, and it's often the healthy family members demanding the care and expenses with no regard for outcomes. The system isn't terrible,... We have a tendency to overuse health care services in this country, particularly end of life services.

We just started. Each treatment is 500 bucks out of pocket. We have applied for grants.Does this particular part D subsidy cover her meds for cancer or is that seperate. Is that part of the treatment and covered by another program?
There are way too many people in the medical profession(s) who won't be honest with patients and families about real options and outcomes. That's especially true for Oncology folks. All they care about is fighting cancer, and they want to fight cancer until a patient's last dying breath because that's their mission. And if you're not "fighting" the cancer, well then you're giving up, and that's disgusting. That kind of thinking is ridiculous. It's hard for people to let go,.. Particularly when there isn't anyone telling them it's time to do so.

I couldn't agree more with you.Primarily because there's no reason for them to do so,... Many of these other lower cost health care providing countries do so by drawing a line on end of life services and directing people to hospice,... Imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth were we to adopt that approach as the norm, here in this country.
I couldn't agree more with you.
It's sad as hell that we live in a country where grants and plastic buckets on the counter at gas stations are what many families rely on for affording medical care. Good luck to you in this ordeal. We just started. Each treatment is 500 bucks out of pocket. We have applied for grants.
Yes my wife’s grandmother who was 98, they said well she has cancer let’s start the chemo. Hell no was the family’s answer. There are way too many people in the medical profession(s) who won't be honest with patients and families about real options and outcomes. I know someone whose father had stage 4 cancer and was going to maybe live 3-4 more months. Family was still pushing for chemo and treatment. During a scan, they discovered he had two AAAs, one of which was quite large. Next thing you know, the guy is airlifted for emergency surgery and stays three days in a hospital for recovery. He ended up dying a month later. Colossal waste of money, time, and resources.
P#ssies are nothing like your nice rear end. MMMMThen I'm sorry to hear that your dad and mother are p#ssies.
That’s why we are living our best life right now.Amen to this part. The amount of money wasted on patients at the end of their lives is obscene, and it's often the healthy family members demanding the care and expenses with no regard for outcomes.
Who wants to talk about oncology professionals when we can talk about proctologists. We love butt stuff. There are way too many people in the medical profession(s) who won't be honest with patients and families about real options and outcomes. Nothing like how much we agree we are better together.I couldn't agree more with you.
So sad. Good luck indeed. Just don’t be the jealous type that only keeps her around for yourself. It's sad as hell that we live in a country where grants and plastic buckets on the counter at gas stations are what many families rely on for affording medical care. Good luck to you in this ordeal.

Your family did the right thing.Yes my wife’s grandmother who was 98, they said well she has cancer let’s start the chemo. Hell no was the family’s answer.
Haha ok.The second one is the worse AINEC. I can't believe we have reached a point where anyone believes it could be viewed otherwise. I guess you have to do what you have to do in order to justify to yourself support of such a vulgar human being.
Your family did the right thing.
We are going to have to ration health care services if we want government to provide such care. Basic care and preventative care should be emphasized. Experimental care, particularly in an end of life situation, should not. And who's kidding here? Health care services are already rationed, just not by the government and not in any orderly fashion. It's all a matter of whether you can afford them.Primarily because there's no reason for them to do so,... Many of these other lower cost health care providing countries do so by drawing a line on end of life services and directing people to hospice,... That's rugged just to read, Going through it is beyond difficult. I went through it with my mother years ago. God bless him, and you guys.I was so grateful for my father's Oncologist. Dad (86 years old at the time, and otherwise healthy as could be - golfed almost every day) has recently received the diagnosis and I flew out so my sister and I could meet with the Oncologist to discuss options. He was a very young guy, and I suspect had not gone through this many times yet. I could hear a slight crack in his voice as he explained where the cancer was, how far it would go, and that with aggressive treatment my dad might have nine months to a year. He then said with no treatments he would have six to nine months but would feel a lot better for most of that time. When Dad said he would rather skip treatments and try to enjoy what time he left, the doctor said, "That's the choice I hope my father would make."
Hospice care, which he needed for the last three weeks, was amazing. I can't speak highly enough about those people.
Well my mom never paid in so she won’t get anything. The libs have no problem upping my FICA tax to shore up the system. Nah I’m good. Let the system collapse.
Not a clue really. Don’t plan to have it when I retire. Ponzi schemeYou have no clue how social security works, do you?
More than idiots, they’re traitors. They support a convicted felon who orchestrated the Jan 6 attack on our Capitol, to overturn a Presidential election.Anyone who supports this administration at this point is a blooming idiot.
Meanwhile Trump is still demanding his golden ballroom be built, his golden arch to fly his name, and now he needs $22 billion to transform the Dulles Airport into something grandiose enough for such a distinguished rapist such as himself to fly out of.
In principle, I agree.
But if you want honesty, then you need to want honesty.
When it comes to ethics, veracity, integrity, etc., there’s the normal realm of where most politicians reside, and then there’s a distant galaxy realm where Donald Trump does.
Any suggestion otherwise is a flagrant false equivalency of the most egregious kind. And that is dishonest.
Not a clue really. Don’t plan to have it when I retire. Ponzi scheme
So you know nothing about it, but "the system is not good"?I am sorry to hear that. The system is not good.
The healthcare system, not the Medicaid system. So you know nothing about it, but "the system is not good"?
I am starting to think you are not a card carrying MENSA member.
It is a Ponzi scheme.“I don’t have a clue, I just know it’s a Ponzi scheme.”
Oh you sure figured it out last night.“I don’t have a clue, I just know it’s a Ponzi scheme.”
Not a clue really. Don’t plan to have it when I retire. Ponzi scheme
Good grief. Stop crying about a government program that shouldn’t exist. Move to France already. Why are you talking crap about something you know nothing about? Good grief. And yes, your mom will be eligible to receive social security. It is called a spousal benefit.
