Hey, fellow Rutgers and Rush fans. Sorry if this is misplaced, please point me in the right direction if it is. There are three New York shows left. Just wondering if anyone has an extra seat they would want to sell me at a reasonable price. I have another option, but that would come down to the last minute, so I’m just weighing all of my options right now. Again, if I posted on the wrong forum, please let me know. I have not been active for sometime. Enjoy the day.

Tickets are insanely high priced. Scummy Ticketmaster/Live Nation typically holds back tickets and does drops up to 7-10 days before each event, releasing good tickets at reasonable prices. I'm hoping to score 2 for the Sunday night show in Philadelphia--good luck!

I have a buddy who sells tickets, has been doing it for years. Can always get seats, it’s just a matter of how much you want to pay. I’m waiting on him, although I wanted to check to see if anyone else had any extras. Hopefully I’ll be there for one of the shows. Good luck!

Geddy Lee might have the worst voice in the history of rock.
Sheer torture listening to it.
I’m not going to say I completely disagree at this point in time, as most artists lose quite a bit of range as they get older. Robert Plant seems to have reinvented himself in a lower register. Unfortunately, most Rush songs require him to sing in the higher register. The musicianship is top-notch and can’t be beat. To each their own.

No reason for comment you responded to. Beauty is in the eye or ear of the beholder.

They haven’t toured in a decade and we’re never expected to tour again. In 2023 I paid $250 for Duran Duran Duran Duran Duran Duran ticket in the same section that I paid $250 now for a Rush ticket. Concert prices skyrocketed after Covid. Bottom line.

Sad but true on ticket prices. As Dirty Harry said- "A man has to know his limitations."

I like Rush a lot, but not enough to drop $250 plus for tickets to see Rush. Saw them on the Snakes and Arrows tour when Neil was still alive, and I won a meet and greet with Geddy and Alex. Cool experience.

I'm going to try to fish for cheap tickets for the Sunday night show in Philly. A friend of mine is going to MSG and to TD Garden in Boston- he paid over $4,000 for four floor seats for his group. That man has higher limitations than I do!

Have a great time- Anika Niles is doing a great job and the Alex and Geddy sound great too.

Anika has been amazing. They didn't take it easy on her or themselves with these setlists. That material is the deep end of the pool. Geddy and Alex have been excellent.

Agreed. I saw them in Texas. The setlist was spectacular. Entire Moving Pictures album. Full first side of 2112. The sound was a bit crappy IMO, but the band was tight as hell. I debated paying that much for a concert, but despite being a long-time fan, I'd somehow never actually seen them live. I can cross is off the list now.

I'm in same boat with AC DC, but from what's on YouTube, not sure I would spend more than $125 for a ticket for them.

Same boat with AC/DC. I've been seeing these guys for a couple years. I know it's not the real thing, but it's close enough to get my fix. They do separate Bon and Brian sets. His Brian is good but his Bon is perfect. I spent $9 (not counting beers) to see them last weekend. 😅

Geddy had a crazy Signed Baseball Collection at one point...think he had 1927 Yankees signed team ball. Auctioned or donated some or most of his collection...know he an auction at Christie's & donated some of his Negro League stuff.

I saw that interview when he showed all that stuff. Really cool and I had no idea he was so into baseball collectibles.

Geddy had a cool mini series called Bass Players are People Too. He did shows with Krist Novoselic, Rob Trujillo, and Les Claypool at their locales.

Last night was one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life - Rush or otherwise - PERIOD. Blew away - BLEW AWAY - R40. I haven't even begun to put it all together or look at the videos because I'm afraid I'll spend $$$ on a 2nd show and the prices start around $280 in the 300's.

re: AC/DC seats as low as $125 not bad at all IMHO; I'll probably pick a couple up a couple (couldn't care less about the Howard game, TBH)

But, but, but if you go to the Rutgers game, you can hear Thunderstruck as the team takes the field. Great tune, but worst entrance song ever.

Glad you enjoyed the show!

lol (and thx!)....but you got it mixed up....we have been using "For Those About To Rock" since Greg came back. "Thunderstruck" was either at the end of 1.0 or during Flood. We actually had a dubbed recording of it that said "RUTGERS" instead of "THUNDER" at the beginning of the song. I kinda like it, actually!
