You can't even stand on what you said so it's no point in me going back and forth with you. Work on that and we can talk.

Kentucky still has the best fanbase in America.
I’ll let everyone else read the thread and see you are a liar, Boo Bird. You blamed Warrior fornthe same weird pathological lie. Stay off the roads.

You need some female attention. ASAP.

Everyone read it two weeks ago and know what you said before you deleted everything. Say it with your chest man. I made you look dumb two weeks ago and you're still this upset?

Is Trent going to become a coach after next year lol? I'm on board if they get to a final four and win 82 games.

But seriously I'm not trying to just crap on Noah. Pope is doing him dirty. Just let him come in and perform as an underdog so we can praise him instead of acting like Larry Bird is loading. I like Trent and think he can contribute to winning but geez. You just cant sit here as the head coach of Kentucky and say Trent is the best defensive player on the team. Even if it's true you can't say it because that's going to be an ugly season.
Trent could be playing the best defense on the team since he came back and knows where the coaches expect him to be and how they want the defense to play! Doesn’t mean he will be the best on defense when the season gets rolling. He will definitely shoot better this year. Wait and see!

I don't think Trent is a bad player at all. I also hope he's not our best player on defense or offense.

I hope he's not close to being the best defensive player this summer even if he has two years here already. He is what he is. I also didn't really get hung on what Pope said. I just made a comment when I heard it. I'm not trying to talk about two week old comments like the bum poster who needs attention.

Trent Noah was pretty good per minute. His issue is that he isn't self sufficient on offense. He doesn't have the dribbling skill to do really anything but shoot when wide open. This stood out this year since we lacked dynamic playmakers.

Noah's rebounding and steals together were elite for his position. His real weakness, at this point, seems to be that he's only 6'5''. If he were 6'8'' or taller, he'd be a viable stretch 4. As a wing player, he presents an opportunity cost in handling and playmaking. That's alleviated if he were big enough to be a 4.

I like Trent, really do, but if his rebounding and steals were anything resembling elite, he would play 30 minutes a night from the day he walked in the door. Just stop

Man he would fit the pope offense so well. Recruiting is way different now though. It’s not just recruiting the next class anymore. You are recruiting the next 2 years classes because more kids are going to reclass to get that NIL rolling sooner.
What is Pope’s offense?

When he has the guys like year 1 it is zoom action based. Last year he went away from it completely which was strange. He also runs some great sets to get guys open shots. Needs shooters, a big who can pass and move and late in clock a playmaker or 2. Idk how you asking that in year 3 really

He tries to run zoom, I agree. So does every junior high in America.

What sets? Chandler launch a 30 ft shot as the clock runs down? Or Noweh or Aberdeen play hero ball?

Maybe you mean the left handed offense?

Playing completely different each year is reaching. That’s not a system.

there arent really "systems" any more. everything is basically some action out front to get players moving and get into where you want to run a pick and roll to get the defense to over commit, then find an advantage. you run a "set" like you run an out of bounds play but no one runs a "set" every play.

where teams have been able to shut pope's offense down is by totally overplaying on the perimeter. requires you to be tough with the ball and just beat your man. teams that over play and jam all the action take away the ball/player movement resulting in a lack of open looks. but we mostly have lacked the type of players that can beat their man either on the perimeter or in the post.

Noah had a defensive rebounding rate over 19%. It was the highest on the team.

However, in terms of perimeter skill, he didn't bring what we needed. His assist rate was lower than MoD's and shooting was mediocre, to say the least. He created no shots and made few. He was ill fit to succeed in a lineup with minimal playmakers.

Let the heads explode. Kam says Bray will be the surprise for fans and the “x-factor” this year. Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!! “Josh Carrier! Heard this before!! I can wait to see if this is true, but not so see if the team will be good and Pope redeems himself!!”
