I typically don't post the women on a college wrestling board since none of them will have any impact on Penn State's future. I did do pbp on a smaller board. If people really want the women's pbp here I will or if Penn State added a women's team, I would automatically do it here.

Rylen Wax US vs Ali Javadli AZE

AZE holding center with lots of hand fighting. Wax goes down first. AZE with 2 guts for the 5-0 lead. Wax tries arm drag. Wax now holding center. AZE 5-0 at the break. Lots of support from the home crowd.

AZE slips on headlock attempt as Wax picks up the pace and is really pressing forward. It almost looked like an intentional missed headlock to get out of Wax's forward pressure.. AZE goes down. Wax with chicken wing to trap arm for 6 turns and a 13-5 TF win. Wax with the gold medal

He's the 45Kg freestyle rep so you'll see more of him soon.

He hit that same chicken wing to trap arm on multiple wresters. He even ran a bar half on one. International wrestlers never see some basic folk moves so they aren't prepared for them. I think the reason the US does so well at 45kg is because countries that play age games don't have 20 year olds that can get down that low.

43 kg – Lilly Lundy did not win her repechage match
46 kg – Madison Healy lost to Makino of Japan
49 kg – Isla Silva won her repechage match, will wrestle for bronze

I'm doing pbp for the women on a different board. The U17 and U20 mens will be either on Penn State or on an oppenent so they are easy to justify here.

Ellison just had one of the most dominant performance I've seen. 8-2 over Japan who TF hermway bronze in the first round was the only real match. Fall in the semis and finals for Elison to go with two other TF
