Sir, none of us know what an eave isTry another question. I’m new to this so go easy on me.
The tv will be under the eave of the house on the cart. Do I leave it plugged in when not in use or unplug it?

HE KNOWS TV's!
This looks like a simple solution.
Leave it plugged in, no need for a special TV or cover, etc. Buy the cheapest one you can find.Try another question. I’m new to this so go easy on me.

I had that same cart with faux wood laminate sticker on it when I was at MSU. Top shelf was for TV and I had a piece of plywood painted brown sitting on the bottom for my stereo. I picked it up on the side of the road a couple blocks from my house and it went through 4 years of college and several co-op semesters in FL and AL, then my first apt after college. It was what Cousin Eddie would have referred to as a "niiiiice entertainment center". I then upgraded to concrete blocks with 1"x12" pine planks layed across them. They were really niiiice
Holy sh!+. I just got transported back to Hightower Hall circa Rockey Felker.

This immediately came to mind when you mentioned your "niiiice entertainment centers". Pretty much nails my last apartment at State and still single from the green shag to the "spool", Bud mirror and block and board entertainment center with my roommate's "$9000" stereo. The first time I heard this routine I was rolling. "We're going hungry but we got tunes"
I've lost the key to a moving truck not once but twice in my life. At this point it's just easier to not move again. So one of my apartments around 1984 or so was a little one bedroom that I was lucky to find in Starkville because I had just finished putting 2 co-op work semesters together (January-August) and I hadn't secured a place to live or a roomate. I had borrowed a pickup from a cousin to move everything to Starkville. During the move in, I lost the key to the truck. I looked EVERYWHERE for that key with no luck. Now let's stop there for just a second. That "younger me" drives my "older me" crazy, think about it. I had done two work semesters together in FL for 8 months and had not secured a place to live when I got back, didn't have a roomate, didn't have a vehicle big enough to move my stuff, had no utilities turned on yet, I lost the key and couldn't find it, what a cluster **** of a dumb teenage kid I was. But I digress.......
I reluctantly called the cousin and told him about the key. He had another key and his next door neighbor was a state trooper and he got the trooper to do a "relay" to get the key to me in Starkville from 3 hours away. Apparently when troopers need to move things they will call the guy in the next troop on the radio to meet them somewhere and pass on whatever needs moving and keep it going till it gets to wherever it needs to go. I got the key late that night from a Starkville trooper and drove home the next day. Fast forward from September to the next May and I'm moving out of that apt and I go and flip the electrical "spool" table over to roll it out the door and I hear the sound of something rolling around as I rolled the spool out. Yep, it was the truck key from 9 months ago that had somehow fallen down in the big hole in the middle of the spool and been there the whole time. (my young dumb self again) That spool was heavy as hell, unpainted, had splinters and was barely big enough to hold a lamp and an ashtray, but it was free so........
Guessing most of us have a long list of those type of stories and honestly I still find me mumbling (or occasionally shouting) you stupid shlt to myself. So one of my apartments around 1984 or so was a little one bedroom that I was lucky to find in Starkville because I had just finished putting 2 co-op work semesters together (January-August) and I hadn't secured a place to live or a roomate. That's an engineering masterpiece, straight from an engineering school...............Guessing most of us have a long list of those type of stories and honestly I still find me mumbling (or occasionally shouting) you stupid shlt to myself.
Thought I had a picture of the ole spool but did run across our niiice entertainment center from a few years prior when we lived in a trailer off Blackjack over the summer (I was shocked the trailer park is still there). Had forgotten my 8track player/recorder was still around at that point, made many a mix tape on it in HS.
