AOC's do-nothing predecessor was a favorite to succeed Nancy Pelosi as house speaker. She handed him his azz.

Who is your ideal candidate...Bernie Sanders?
I have happily voted for him whenever I have had the opportunity. Katie Porter was my favorite in the recent gubernatorial primary.

My ideal candidate for president would be former LA mayor, Eric Garcetti, but he seems to be quite happy in his post-ambassador life away from the public eye. I am holding out hope that he considers running for the nomination.

Word

establishment dems are fearful of the insurgent candidacies of abdul for MI senate & francesca hong for WI governor. they tell us, they fear these candidates will fail in purple states against republicans in the general. what rw dems actually fear is the success of insurgent left candidates especially in purple states. they fear that the voters are waking up to the reality that the actual electable candidates are the ones that will fight FOR something, not just put on a show against trump. insurgents that will center working class needs over corporate profits. this threatens the power of the corporate dems that have controlled the party for decades and allowed this country to be dominated by increasingly repulsive far right politics that brought us trump twice. we say no more!

British economist and trader Gary Stevenson explains that boring technocratic centrism has failed. Some of the names are different but it all applies in the US just the same

"This boring technocratic centrism has failed". Gary Stevenson is right: it's time for a wealth tax.

Hakeem called Bernie to complain about meddling in primaries. Bernie was unmoved.

MO-01 heating up? Is DSA former Congresswoman Cori Bush about to oust the heavily AIPAC funded Wesley Bell?

Actually I think this photo of Gretchen Whitmer is one of the single most powerful symbolic depictions of the contemporary Democratic Party leadership. "decking yourself out in blue as if you're different but cooperating with Trump while pretending not to" says it all

Centrist corporate democrats are bought off. They won't stand in the way of data "mass surveillance" centers

Did you see the interview with the national co- chair of DSA yesterday on Fox?

Her stated policy prescriptions:

1. Abolish the senate and executive branch .
2. Abolish ICE
3. Abolish prisons
4.abolish police
5. Immediate amnesty for all non- citizens
6. Open borders.
7.govt ownership of all corporations

I am sure that Sirota truly believes that this platform will result in landslide victories if only those evil moderate Dems like me die or get out of the way

I am skeptical.
