Needs to return. There is literally zero interaction with our football program and the fanbase outside of some events in Starkville.

The Central MS Alumni Association with a lot of help from the university. Jackson area is our biggest alumni base.
Haven't seen the Road Dawgs lately either, but I may have just missed it. I don't care for those events but many do.
I know I usually trash Lenny and Salmon but I won't criticize too much, I don't know what other programs are doing. Maybe they are too busy handing out money.

I only went to a few back in the day. They were okay but better when I saw people I knew.
Considering the attendance back then, they could be a bit too much.

The only interaction outside of Starkville is when they want more $.
The Mississippi State Athletic Department should look for opportunities to get the AD, coaches of major sports, & Bulldog Club staff together with MSU alumni, boosters, & fans whenever possible.
I tired of the Extravaganza in my early 30's. I thought it got kinda stale, but it is a great event for our fanbase to bring kids which could become our next generation of students. It would also seem not that these type events could be legitimate opportunities for players to earn some NIL $ since the NCAA is policing that somewhat. There should be events like this every summer in Jackson, Gulfport/Biloxi, & Southaven/Olive Branch.

One of the two you named would certainly stab me. Although, DCD is a much bigger target. I might be OK.
They probably have to hit a funding amount as a result of the event that would make it worth having. With the current state of the football program I doubt that's a target they think they can hit.
Earlier this year, we went to a luncheon at a Madison resturant hosted by the the Central MS Alumni chapter. Back in the day I was an officer in a chapter and thought I would do some networking with my fellow alumni. Well, it was a huge disappointment as there were only about a half dozen members and some chapter officers in attendance. No activities other that the officers having a quick meeting. There were no planned activities. I guess alumni chapter meetings aren't as popular as back in my time.
I was heavily involved about 10 years ago then kids came and now I’m more involved with their school and sports. I will get back in it in about 6-7 years.
The last time I went Croom said he wasn’t afraid of LSU.

I think he has helped with this in the past. I know he used to help with the old central chapter tennis tournament fundraiser.
Meh faculty and staff would probably end up offloading their tickets to ole miss fans
Henig had 17 catches on 28 pass attempts, which isn’t that bad. What was unfortunate was that over a third of the catches were by the other team

These type of events died for many reasons, many of which have been said here. Staleness, information much more readily available, people do to much and don’t volunteer (organizers), and the modern landscape of college sports where everything is monetized. We have a “value based” fanbase, and they aren’t going to pay for signatures or pictures.

Loved going to it as a kid in the 80s. Took my kids in early 2000s. Never made it back. I do miss it.
Maybe once every 2-3 years.
I think an every few year rotation keeps it from becoming stale.
That could be an answer.
Of course, it probably would help if we didn't suck so bad. It's hard to get up for football when we've been lost for the last 3 years (and really since Mullen left, minus a season here and there).
It's not just football. At least 2 of the 3 coaches would make an appearance. You have Hubbard, KaMario Taylor, and bring some baseball players. Rotate it between Tupelo, Jackson and the coast. Have an autograph table. Have give aways.
I met Shane Beamer at Jack's Fish House in McNeill back when Croom was HC. Back then they sent the assistants around the state to pump the program up. How come they don't do that anymore?
I'm looking at Jack Salmon. It's beginning to feel like Lonnie Tinkle. Only wants to put effort into the top 0.1% of donors.
Was that part of the Road Dawgs tour or something different? Seems I saw a lot about RD when I first moved back and now nothing. Last I recall of anything was a picture of Leach, Jans and Sam? sitting for a panel discussion on the coast so it was post covid.
