If, as you stated ‘don’t give the team its best chance to win’ that would mean they aren’t playing as well as when they have their best chance to win.
It’s tricky logic for you to understand.
‘Best chance to win’=Playing well
Negative fans = don’t give the team its best chance to win = not playing as well.
So negative fans = not playing as well.

You aren’t able to. So, somehow we've gotten to this. Which amounts to you having mixed two separate discussions into your own **** show.
Spreading/multiplying negativity, as a fan, isn’t acting in a way that gives the team its best chance to win. Spreading/multiplying support, as a fan, is the best way a fan can behave to give its team the best chance to win.
From a separate discussion, you've also plucked the fact that, as a team, playing winning ball is a better way to ensure success, than relying on beneficial bounces of the ball.
Both very straightforward. No need for your calculus **** show. But that's what you do. So my money says your just going to again repeat what you've already said. Have fun

The board troglodyte made the following quote in the Iowa -11.5 thread: "I can tell you this. If Iowa can run the ball, stop the run, have consistency in the punt game, and stay healthy, it won't make a damn bit of difference who the QB is."
I sarcastically said that the 85 team would have had the same season without Long at QB
His response: "where did I say QBs don't matter? Nowhere.
So "it won't make a damn bit of difference who the QB is DOESN'T mean "QBs don't matter"

There are 67 posts in that thread. 54 of them are by multiple posters related to the thread topic. 8 of them are from you; none of those pertain to the thread topic. 5 of them are posters calling you out for your BS. And the OP did not mention you once in the thread.

I watched an episode of a new show on Netflix about worst neighbors. Insane hag had an obsession toward her neighbors. Ended up shooting them. Very similar to Eyes railing about 2D.
Calling me out for what BS? AGAIN, there's a lot of material there to incriminate 2D. THE THREAD WAS CREATED ENTIRELY AS A COVER UP. Read the link provided from the TL/ANF thread, that's been around for weeks.
Is there some part of my reasoning you take contention with?
Because it seems you have no idea what you're talking about. Again, if anyone has displayed stalker like behavior, it's 2D.
I'm not sure how that isn't clear to you. Certainty has been clear enough to other posters, who've given likes along the way. So, either get yourself caught up to speed. Or shut talking about stuff you know nothing about

I hope you'll take this in the spirit it's intended, because I actually think you're a smart guy who has some good points to make. The problem is that you come across as a total dick in the way you go about it. The reason, in my opinion, is that you don't come to this board to discuss Hawkeye sports the way most fans do. You come here to prosecute a personal agenda -- which, to your credit, you acknowledged above. Once every conversation becomes another opportunity to advance that agenda, it stops feeling like a discussion and starts feeling like a campaign.
To be fair, you're not the only one. Numerous posters do the same thing, just as many have done in the past, and many will do in the future. But at present, you are probably the most prolific abuser on this board.
These are some of my observations:
- You steer unrelated discussions back to the same familiar talking points, often derailing threads in the process.
- You come to the discussion with conclusions already formed rather than a willingness to consider other viewpoints.
- You repeat the same arguments regardless of the evidence presented.
- You often split hairs over minor details and technicalities in an attempt to win an argument on the margins, even when those points don't change the larger discussion.
- You ask questions designed to logically entrap other posters, rather than to gain understanding.
- You drop cliches designed to sound wise, but have grown meaningless through overuse.
- Most of all, you contribute to the very polarization of the fanbase that you claim to be fighting.
And let me also say this: In a thread that was started specifically to discuss you as a poster, you have every right to defend yourself. In this thread, say what you need to say. Make your case. Respond to the criticism. But in other threads, maybe consider letting a few pitches go by. Not every issue needs a swing, and not every opening needs to become another opportunity to make the same argument. Sometimes the strongest posters are the ones who know when to step in -- and when to let the conversation play out without feeling the need to redirect it.
To close, I'll paraphrase something I said to another poster a little while back: You have the potential to be a really good poster. So be a really good poster.
Or, to put it another way, it's OK to not like things, just don't be a dick about it.

To emphasize my point above, I think you could be a really good contributor on this board. I once called you a "contrarian," which I think you took issue with, but I don't think that's inherently a bad thing. Every good message board needs a few contrarians. Someone willing to challenge the consensus can keep discussions honest and prevent the groupthink that creeps into a lot of fan bases. The problem is that it doesn't have to be every discussion, every time. You can make your point without turning so many threads into another debate over the same issues. Too often, the conversations become circular, with the same arguments, the same responses, and the same conclusions being repeated over and over again. It's exhausting. At that point, people stop engaging with the substance of what you're saying and start tuning it out. And that's a shame, because the points you make are often worth considering when they're not buried beneath the repetition.

Very well put. He needs to understand he is not always right, and to respect the opinions of others. Just because someone has a different opinion than him doesn’t make them wrong. And his opinions aren’t facts.
I have echoed your sentiments many times in the past. He does, occasionally, make good points. But since he chooses to be an a*s most of the time, these points get lost. I have asked him to consider being humble, and not so antagonistic, to be respectful of others and their opinions, and to just man up and admit when he’s wrong. Maybe someday he will.
