MAGAts rose to prominence because a black man talked down to them (in their eyes).

Dems then tried to run a woman and it failed .. it failed so badly, she lost to an incompetent failed reality TV game show host who was in dire financial straits.

Dems then smartened up and ran a failing white man who was part of the "establishment" and he wiped the floor with the failed reality TV game show host, despite being completely uninspiring.

Dems then tried another woman ... this time doubling down and having her be a minority. She was running, basically, to just continue what the failing old white man had done in his time in his office. And that failed so epically, she lost convincingly to a failed reality TV game show host who was now a felon.

So, the lesson? All the Dems have to do is put forward a middle of the road white dude, and they walk away with this thing. Doesn't matter how awful he is, unless he's a serial killer/rapist or something similar, he'll win the thing walking away (and if he was a serial killer/rapist and a MAGAt, MAGAt would vote for him ... policies, amirite?).

So, who are they leaning toward, to take the reins? A progressive minority woman.

Cool, cool, cool.

It's almost like they WANT to lose and then complain about it.

Note that I'm not saying the obvious bias against women or minorities is a GOOD thing ... just that, it's there ... and people will try to cover that up by claiming that candidate was [insert negative characterization here] and THAT'S why they didn't vote for her ... I'm just pointing out the practical reality of the situation.

And, so, we're left with a substantial portion of the left promoting minority candidates, and yelling "down with the establishment." Good lord. The unmitigated stupidity. A lesson in how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. "OK, guys ... we have them on the ropes ... the Second Reich has been an utter disaster and no one wants a repeat of that ... all we need to do is put a milquetoast white dude up there, and we take back power ... anything else, and we'll revive the fading embers of MAGA hate and push others away from us ... so what are we going to do?!?" "I know, let's do the 'anything else'!"

This is why we can't have nice things.

Personally I think arguing about his job performance is exactly the right conversation good or bad. While me might disagree on some points around his job performance I don’t fault you for thinking his track record would him a bad president. That’s a legitimate conversation.

And I don’t fault you for thinking he is a “weak man” either. You are entitled to your opinion. What I don’t get is why you think Trump is “strong” in comparison. He’s a run of the mill school yard bully who talks tough and tacos out routinely. He is arguably the biggest рussy for a president of my lifetime.
  • Real men take accountability - you know “the buck stops here”
  • Real men treat women with respect
  • Real men stand up to wrong doing, they don’t appease, excuse or pardon it
  • Real men help others in need
  • Real men don’t need adulation to function, they get the job done regardless of who is watching
  • Real men don’t lie, cheat or steal
  • Real men don’t need to hug flags, they respect what the flag stands for
Teddy Roosevelt, arguably the most alpha President in our history, would straight up put Trump in the hospital.
Your choices were Trump or Kamala. Kamala was an extremely weak candidate. In my opinion, she was the worst candidate in US political history. She had no charisma. No charm. She may be intelligent, but that was never displayed in a public arena.

I don't even think it's a good thing to be a strong man all the time, but the leader of our country should project an image of strength and i don't think Pete gives off that vibe. At all.

Plus Trump won't be running in 2028, despite his trolls, and we all know it will most likely be Rubio or Vance (in that order). So the question becomes, who gives off a better image of strenght, Vance and Rubio or Pete?

This is the first time you have done a "But Trump" in our conversations. I never mentioned Trump relative to this conversation and he can't get elected again ...... so he is irrelevant to this conversation.

I personally think both suck. And I think every person on the dem shortlist sucks. Weak, incompetent, too far left, you name it. I voted for Rubio in 2016 and hope to have the chance to again. Voted for Haley in 2024, but I doubt she will be a serious contender again.

Rubio is my favorite. I think he is going to be very tough to beat.

I used to be positively predisposed to Haley. When she bent the knee to Trump she lost my support.

Gotta think it will come down to rubio or vance for the Republicans (maybe both on same ticket?). I can't see Haley being relevant at that level ever again.

I wouldn't mind seeing tulsi or kennedy run for president again as democrats. They'd be leaps and bounds better than any of the other current candidates for the dems and signal a responsible shift back to moderate policy, but I doubt the party would allow them to be considered even after they befriended trump. That is the ultimate sin for the hivemind.

Biden didn't win the 2020 election lol he was installed by illegal mail in votes with covid as a cover. The evidence for this is completely overwhelming at this point.

Lol what's with the left's fascination with the word cuck these days?

Rubio has unironically been the best secretary of state in a generation. I honestly can't think of anyone even close to him/what he's done.

They’re trying to sound a little more masculine. When you have women and soys like Pete Buttplug / Talafreaco /Walz leading your party,., you’re already behind the 8 ball

I think I see your problem…I’m not a leftist. I’m a never Trumper.

Our reputation around the world is in shambles. We have wrecked our trade status. We have entered into the dumbest war since Vietnam.

Oh and he wore shoes that did not fit because he is too much of a рussy to stand up to his boss.
