What a joke. Trump made a mockery of the whole thing. Every other president has shown up, poked some fun at various politicians and journalists, AND engaged in some self-deprecating humor. And then passed the baton to the host, who is usually a comedian. Imagine Cheeto Hitler engaging in ANY kind of self-deprecating humor. It's impossible. He can't stand even the slightest bit of it, even coming from himself. He bragged ceaselessly about his "success" in the Iran War, and even more so about how great his ginormous, gold plated ballroom is gonna be. Here's a hint, Cheeto. It ain't gonna happen. Not unless it is scaled back. What a joke. You'd have to be a moron to have ever voted for this blowhard. He reminds me of a carnival barker. A very dumb carnival barker. No wonder Hermy McFluffins and JinxyPat love him.

for some reason, it seems as if more anti trump people watch trump speeches than pro trump.

Were you expecting Trump to be any different this time. I guess the saying "hope springs eternal" is accurate

Maybe if the supporters watched more of the speeches they would realize how stupid his bs lies are. Instead they watch fux news and get told how great it was.

I notice he went with the more socially acceptable wife replacement in Karoline Leavitt instead of Natalie Harp.
Where was Melanie? Was her contract only for one dinner, and not the make up dinner?

Creepy grandpa rips on Kaitlan Collins for winning a “fake” award, complains that she doesn’t smile, calls her attractive but then compares her to a trans dude..?

well, that's a good point. But honestly, whether or not you're a trump supporter, who can sit though one of these rambling, repetitive, hyberbolic speeches?

I can barely stomach hearing comedians imitating that whiny bi.tch voice. Listening to him just makes me nauseous.

You recognize for what it is and yet you voted for the rambling, repetitive, hyperbolic octogenarian because he wore the right color hat.

America in 2026.
nope, not accurate. I voted for him for two reasons...1. I preferred his policies to those of his opponent. 2. he wasn't Kamala Harris.

As I've posted many times, I vote for policies more than people.

Did you vote for the policies he has implemented or did you fall for the lies about policy that everyone knew were lies…because all he does is lie?

No foreign wars
Lower prices
Ukraine/Russia ended on day 1
Etc.

Etc would include closing the border, removing criminal illegals, and rescuing thousands of trafficked children the Biden admin lost track of.

Also, pumping more oil, ending green energy scams, and making wealthy Euro countries meet their NATA funding commitments.

And keeping men out of girls' locker rooms.

He ran up our debt. Got us in the dumbest war ever. Has only created 244k jobs his whole second terms. And is giving us $4 gas.

Please tell me why you like this?

I tuned in for last ten minutes.
His attempts at humor fell so flat he started asking " who wrote this crap?"
He said he was wrapping up but then started on another grievance rant.....thought they would bring out the hook.

When he finally exited the podium, the lady journalist in charge came to the podium and said

" For weeks people were asking me how long the president would speak; well, now you know"

It was a brutal 65 minutes.

Yet no dems stepped up to remove Biden after the June 24 "debate" against Trump.

Where were you, podo?

I meant to step down from office since he was clearly mentally incapacitated.

Just because he lost a step didn't mean he was unable to finish out the short time left in his term and besides, it would have taken a super-majority of both houses for the 25th amendment to pass and we know that wouldn't have happened. The world didn't fall apart and the economy took off like a rocket the second half of 2024, so they were right to allow him to complete his term. He was showing signs of normal aging but he wasn't a vegetable and wasn't making irrational decisions, so there was no need to kick him out with just months to go.

good, fair question. I voted for the policies that I believed were possible. I knew that it was not possible to end inflation or the Ukraine war on day one. I was confident he could close the border and initiate deportations of undocumented migrants, same with taxes. I did not vote for war with Iran.

If you could name one president who delivered everything he promised in their campaigns I'd be surprised. I personally believe that Trump speaks in hyperbole. You have to take everything with a grain of salt.

On Kamala's platform, I thought she promised generalities, protect the ACA. ban gouging of food prices, build 3 million new houses (that's a federal responsibility?), raise corporate taxes, codify abortion rights, cap prescription drug prices...she was going to continue Biden's policies (her words), I didn't particularly care for Biden's presidency.

I try to be pragmatic with what politicians say both in campaigns and during their administrations. Things happen during a 4 year administration. I'm not real happy with what's happening in Iran. it's a self inflicted wound
