I don't really have an issue with LBJ. By all accounts he seems like a really good guy. Dude has had the spotlight on him for what, 25 years? Seems like he has done really good stuff, better things than any of us here.

I know some don't like that he had fake glasses or fake reads books (we all have done that though) but look at some of the horrible nasty **** we post here, That crazy poster Numbers, that Dave dude that loves measles, myself and my horrible ****...LBJ seems okay

Already have a LeBron thread, not sure why we need another - but since you're asking:

James recalled his mindset entering a predominantly white Catholic high school as a teenager, quoting himself as saying, "I don't want nothing to do with white people."

I'm sure you'd offer Trump the same grace if he said it about blacks? Cmon man... in a highly charged society you can't say those words and expect "Not" to be called a racist by many?

I guess my point is - whether the label is accurate or not, the accusation of someone being a racist when they say things like this is not far-fetched.

#2: James shared a selfie on Instagram with the caption, "We been getting that Jewish money, Everything is Kosher."

I love the stuff Trump says. He cracks me up and if he said that I would laugh at it as well.

I don't care what the "charged society" says, clearly LBJ could say it and things seemed to work out just fine for him.

If someone wants to accuse him of being racist! I don't care. Just like I don't care if someone calls Trump a racist. I actually tend to think that pretty much everyone has "racist" tendencies at times.

That seems fair

Double negative.....he DON'T WANT NOTHING to do with white people which means he wants everything to do with white people.

How is he aggrieved?
He isn't...but that is his bit. He is acting and it worked. I am not a Clay Travis fan but he is brilliant at building his base and his brand.

Me not being a fan of his has nothing to do with his beliefs (fake or real), I just have never liked any national sports hosts except for Jim Rome.

What’s the bit? How do you know he is acting?

The bit is that he is the angry white guy that is stopping injustice against whites, while also talking about boobs and sex and hot girls.

How do I know he is acting? That is just a guess. The guy was a fiction writer and blogger. Most of those guys/girls develop their own persona.

I mean, I don't think Jim Rome gets home and and says to his kids "Okay, how was school and remember, have a take and don't suck".

Travis might 100% believe in the stuff he says but the way he presents it is probably theater. It gets him paid a lot of money.

Dumb as a rock? ✔️. Don’t know enough to say if he’s a racist. Elite talent with a 15 year old brain.
We need more dumb people if they go from poverty to billionaire(salary capped league by the way) while holding most records in their profession while doing it at the highest level for a quarter century. Its almost like there has never been talented players in the NBA before...you would think more guys would play for 25+ years, play in 300 straight playoff games without missing a single one, and lead 3 teams to 4 championships while taking 5 different coaches to NBA finals. You make it sound so easy.

He isnt ...thats the grift...its all an act. He and Hill make their bones on complaining about the role of race
All an act? Here you go. I don't care if anyone doesn't have a clue, but please don't fake it, especially as bad as this. Warning, if you don't have a strong stomach, you may not want to watch, it's pretty brutal.

He’s definitely putting on an act, but I think like all these people the act and the reality start to merge. Most likely he was always a person that lacked any core ideology and morality and was willing to become exactly the person the highest bidder wanted him to be.

Is he an angry white guy? Because he gets fired up about about race and boobs? And what does race have to do with boobs? How is that an act? I sense no insincerity in the way he discusses things. If you think his opinion is wrong, that's one thing, but you thinking it is theater means zero.

Well of course what I think means zero. What we all think means zero.

But I think he is acting...You think he isn't it.

Most people on this board identify as Christian. Most people on this board would say that Christianity is under attack, and that it is better for Christians to unite, to find common ground than the alternative in the face of this attack. What Lebron said is no different. You can't acknowledge that African Americans have been treated differently in America than other groups? That seems more of a you problem.

Malcolm X was very smart, probably delusional but also his main ideology was the idea that African Americans must become independent and not reliant on other groups for support, whether government or political help. Do you not agree? Is that not what Lebron is agreeing with?

The context of this time period in the 60s was extreme poverty in the inner cities and the rise of organized crime among many ethnic groups...basically each group had a mafia which would provide support for its community. This was the root of organized gangs. Italian, Eastern European, Irish mafia slowly integrated into white society despite being exceptionally violent at times. Other groups couldn't integrate or assimilate as seamlessly due to skin color. It isn't that complicated.

what the hell are you talking about? What does Christianity have to do with him being completely full of ****? He clearly didn't read the book, but tried, horribly, after bringing the book out as a prop, to pretend he did. He's dumb, and phony. That doesn't make him a bad person, it just makes him dumb and phony.

I agree with the philosophy that every person should be able to support themselves. The great society destroyed the black family, thank the dems. Lebron doesn't know what he is agreeing with, he just knows that he's supposed to hold that book and act like he cares. I feel sorry for him.
