AH UR A DODGER HUH WELL WELL WELL
I left home to go to college and never came back - even for a summer. When Iowans ask how KI can stand to live in crime filled Chicago I just laugh….I’ve spent a lot of time in the inner city and never felt more unsafe than I did going to buy booze as a teen at two sisters in the flats.

Don't judge... we got a call yesterday am that friends had two free concert tickets for us in Boone for last night. We love Boone so, of course, we jumped at it. Had dinner at The Social and did a little strolling on King Street before heading to the concert at the Schaeffer Center. Great venue - my wife and I saw Billy Strings and Bryan Sutton there last Sept.

Ok... so it was... Rick Springfield.

The most cracker concert imaginable.

Zero expectations and mostly met but the guy really can put on a show. Did a song where he walked on the armrests of the seats through the audience. High energy jumped and danced the stage for close to two hours. Took his shirt off for the encore to the delight of the boomer ladies in the venue. The guy is cut, for sure. And he'll be 77 next month. smh
That's a HOSS with high T!

Happy Friday, everyone! Anyone have any big plans for the weekend?! We've got NO plans at all, and it's going to be glorious. Likely gonna grill some ribeyes tomorrow evening with some good ol Iowa sweetcorn though. Looking forward to that, haven't had any sweetcorn yet this year/csb
That's funny. We're having steak and corn on the cob tonight. (Unfortunately, it won't be Iowa corn.) Heading up to Napa Valley tomorrow to do some wine tasting at Biale Winery. Hope it's not too hot.

Bruce is great. I have him on every format, I have never seen him live though.

No, Badger 😡

Which believe me, I hate when I drive back up to Madison.
Last weekend the no pics wife bought a really nice walnut dining room table off fbook marketplace for like 35 bucks. We went to pick it up, and it was a really large/nice house out in the country. Older dude and his wife were really nice. But in their garage they had a 7 foot tall Bucky Badger statue. I lost all respect for them/csb

There’s a house a few blocks away that had a huge wooden Bucky statue

I’ve only been to one game in Madison and we were surrounded by Wisky fans. So my experiences were limited to that one weekend. But I have to admit, it was a great time despite us losing. The fans around us were really cool.

They’re really fine, I just have to talk sh#t being a Hawkeye. Went to lots of hockey games there. SIEVE! SIEVE!

Have some friends coming over to the pool tomorrow. Throw golf on the tiki bar TV and probably the WNBA All-Star game after. The pool is on 10 acres in the country and the old man and me started putting in a 7 hole par 3 course. Greens aren't there yet, but it will do. Bought about 300 water balloons for the kids. Lost about 50% of the grove to ash borers, so we put a track through it for the kids dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. Shooting off the fireworks at dark we bought for the 4th and never used. Smoking ribs, pork loin, and chicken thighs. Im slightly excited.

Sounds good man. I know the area you live in, I’m gonna drive around until I find ya and then eat your food. T’s and P’s
