Don't judge... we got a call yesterday am that friends had two free concert tickets for us in Boone for last night. We love Boone so, of course, we jumped at it. Had dinner at The Social and did a little strolling on King Street before heading to the concert at the Schaeffer Center. Great venue - my wife and I saw Billy Strings and Bryan Sutton there last Sept.
Ok... so it was... Rick Springfield.
The most cracker concert imaginable.
Zero expectations and mostly met but the guy really can put on a show. Did a song where he walked on the armrests of the seats through the audience. High energy jumped and danced the stage for close to two hours. Took his shirt off for the encore to the delight of the boomer ladies in the venue. The guy is cut, for sure. And he'll be 77 next month. smh

I saw Huey Lewis and the News with The Outfield opening at Alpine Valley.

Opened this place in my town called the "massage warehouse" that I'm going to check out.
Pfft... I saw Huey way back in '84. Great show. But Stevie Ray Vaughn opened so... yeah, not the same at all.
