Simmons has:
East Wilkes by 3.
RS by 3.
Chase by 5.
Asheville by 13.
Bunker Hill by 31.
West Iredell by 22
Freedom by 52.
Only issue with Simmons ratings, is in its algorithm it doesn't account for transfer/move ins. For example, there are 3 schools with key pieces that moved in the off season that will severely alter some of these predictions.
Asheville, Hibriten, RS all apparently got more depth and benefit from some of this, that most definitely should help change that predicted score range - Hibriten got a RB from Freedom/Depth from WC moves/Couple others, Asheville got great ATH transfer/prolly a couple others not list, RS - 3 kids from ER that were starters.
Still think Hibriten by 21+, Asheville 35+, and RS 14+ win differentials in week 1. Really interested in the West Iredell team, many have them marked as dark-horse contenders this season (Coach Fitz is doing a great job there!)
Overall, current state of HS football in NC, Simmons ratings will be more effective after week 1 & 2 when the algorithm accounts for all the moves that take place in this new age of HS football. I just think it plays a key factor in predicting outcomes early because teams are not simply the same.
