Him "lying" about not seeing your posts is 100% insignificant to me. I have never met anyone who posts on her as far as I know. We are just random people posting our thoughts about sports-related issues. I couldn't care less whether anyone reads what I post or not.
That's fine if you don't care if your posts are read. (Although I'm not sure why you'd post).

But I happen to have a certain agenda with many of my posts. So I do care how they are characterized.

Plus, when people blatantly mischaracterize to the extent 2Drastic does, it simply lacks common decency and respect.

Posters not knowing each other on a personal level, may help keep you from taking things personally. And that's respectable.

But even you have expectations of posters, and expect threads to maintain a certain order that reflects common courtesy.

Not being lied to, and not being mischaracterized, are a couple common courtesies that I expect

You claim to be mischaracterized when people quote your exact words like "linemen don't think receivers are football players"

Been over this one a couple times.

That is a cherry picked figure of speech that isn't representative of the true sentiment that was expressed many times throughout that thread.

The figure of speech was meant to convey the reality that lineman don't always consider receivers to be their equal.

Anyone who thinks I was trying to say lineman literally don't consider receivers to be football players, especially given the additional content of that thread, is an idiot

Are you honestly not aware how 2D operates?

I'm not the only one he mischaracterizes.

And AGAIN, the fact that he has to pretend to not see my posts, means he has to act like he doesn't know what I said, when he inevitably wants to comment about my posts. Which means he has to intentionally mischaracterize what I've posted, as part of his cover up

So again, quoting your exact words is a mischaracterization. Got it

Eyes talks a lot about "toxicity" and how it is harmful to the program. Laughable to begin with but also inaccurate. Literally everyone on here wants to see the Hawks win every game they play. I personally believe the best way for them to accomplish that is to be effective in all three elements of the game. Throughout most of KF's tenure, they have been good to great in two of those elements. There were years early in his tenure when the offense was actually dynamic and effective. That was 20 years ago. Things really hit the crapper after GDGD replaced KoK and bottomed out with Biff.
I have renewed hope after two years of Lester. I am not sure the overall talent is there to win a CFP game but hopefully more success will attract better talent. Last year was fun and I hope to see more progress this year
*** bag: Don't waste your time thumping your chest about all those "great" moments like beating SD 7-3 on a FG and two safeties. I don't care. Being able to compete against quality teams is the only thing I care about.

Kind of ironic a board supposedly containing all fans of the same team inevitably always descends into mean girl dramatics

I was on the pay board for over 20 years….. it’s the same there….. I finally decided paying to read pissing matches wasn’t worth the small amount of actual Hawkeye information you might get

Why pay when you can get threads like this for free……a microcosm of society as a whole all the tribal discourse and hate …. threats to ignore anything that doesn’t fit your narrative…..turns out maybe people having a platform to spew their opinions on isn’t all it’s cracked up to be

Go Hawks!

Hi guys, 2D posted this in a thread I made about past QB controversies. It's his code to block ol eyes, even the ignore thing that pops up. The one that eyes claims he is faking.

I have not tried it yet because I am traveling for work with my work laptop. Since I know nothing about coding I'm not going to mess around and risk turning my computer into an expensive paperweight and having to reset it and lose all my work stuff. I will try it on my home laptop though next week, and we can find out if eyes is crazy or if 2D really can see him. Or one of you can try it and let us know.

Personally I think the fact that 2D was willing to publicly post this on my thread means it probably works. Eyes is too insane to realize that its very easy to tell when other people are responding to him. I'm able to figure out it's him 99.9% of the time before I click the "show ignored comments" button.

1. Whether the code works or not does nothing to prove that 2D has actually used it.

2. AGAIN, there is a preponderance of material that strongly suggests 2D has not used the code. Would you like me to provide some links?

3. It's clear that you haven't read any of that incriminating material. As again, it's really quite obvious.

4. Given you haven't read any of that material, I'm not sure how you now have anything to comment about. But I guess that's pretty much SOP, around here. SMH.

Again, that material supports my claim exponentially stronger than what 2D has provided to support his

1. Yes, a negative community can be felt by the team. Same as a positive community. Coaches tell us all the time that community support makes a difference.

How much of a difference positivity/negativity can/do make is certainly up for debate. But that doesn't change that fact that community support gives the team its best chance for success. And that fans have a choice whether to contribute positivity or negativity to the community's environment. Or they can choose to say nothing at all.

Why fans don't choose to act in a way that will give the Hawks their best chance of winning is something I'll never understand.

2. How much greater offensive "production" would translate to more winning is also debatable.

Certainly the correlation isn't nearly as strong as fans believe it to be.

Nor is it a given that Iowa will be able to significantly improve its offense without coming at the expense of other areas of the program.

3. Bottom line is, Iowa's program has been nothing but praiseworthy.

It's not about thumping the chest over a SD St. victory. (Although I'm proud of each and every win the program can get).

My point has always been that fans were wrong to have taken their complaints to a level of toxicity in the last season ('23) of what was KF's winningest stretch at Iowa. There is simply no justifying that behavior from fans.

4. Their level of negativity mostly came from the fact that the offense wasn't entertaining enough for them. And that is no justification, at all. It's simply wrong priorities that led to wrong behavior.

The team's priority is to win games. And that is all they should be judged on.

For the team members, '23, and the division title it brought was experienced as one of the most special seasons in Iowa history.

For fans to have somehow made that the most toxic season in Iowa history, is incredibly sad, and again, completely inexcusable.

5. You are proving my points for me, with your language in this post.

-"Things really hit the crapper and bottomed out." How? When was the last time Iowa didn't at least have a pretty good football team? Maybe you're just talking about the offense. But why? Why aren't you praising the program's successes?

-You continue by saying you have "renewed hope". Again, you must be talking about the offense for some reason, because I don't see where hope for the program would have ever wavered.

-"Last year was fun and I hope to see more progress this year." Again, you must strictly be talking about the offense. Because the 9-4 season did not amount to "progress" for the program. And I don't see how it could have been any more "fun" than the more successful '23 season.

-Not only have you minimized a win (over SD St.), but you also minimize the way in which Iowa scored its 7 points. You clearly infer that 2 safeties and a FG wasn't as good as a TD would have been, in your eyes.

-And you say, "being able to compete" against quality teams is all you care about. So evidently this is another way in which winning isn't the priority for you.

All of this points to you simply having the wrong priorities. You don’t value what the team values. And if that has led to you contributing negativity to the Hawkeye community, you have been wrong to do so

2023 wasn't 10-4; it shows in the record books as 6-4.

Which does nothing to change what was inappropriate fan behavior during, what at the time, a 10-4 and division title season.

And I'm glad you mentioned that. Because, to further illustrate, community negativity was at a toxic level the entire '23 season. Not just when Iowa was 10-4 and division champs. But while they were 3-0. While they were 6-1. While they were 10-2 and division champs. And while they were 10-3 and division champs

69,250 people showed up for each of Iowa's home games that year. I doubt the players noticed "toxicity" during game day. I would guess they were energized by playing in front of full houses every week. You keep trying to invent a false crisis

Do you not agree that negativity in the Hawkeye community was at its all-time high in '23?

You continue to miss the point. Fans have a choice to act in a way that gives Iowa their best chance of winning.

There's a reason the saying, "they're either with us, or they're against us", will be echoed in locker rooms across the country this fall

I am in a quandary. What ‘crime’ do I worry about

A. Someone allegedly stalking/not stalking someone
B. Someone having terrible, unfounded opinions and then claiming that their exact quotes(notice it is multiple) mischaracterize them while saying that wasn’t what they really meant
C. That Iowa has players that will play worse because the message board was mean to them

That’s a lot to process.

You told me to read better…… that implies that I have a deficiency in my reading.
‘Read better’ is your figure of speech when you are unable to refute a post or substantiate your opinion or position. Some use name calling or deflection when they have no substance to their opinion. You shorten it to ‘read better’ I appreciate your economy of words. It is far better then a lengthy post where you can’t back up your posts with facts. Not only does it save time it saves you the embarrassment of typing ‘I have no clue, I posted unsubstantiated garbage’
So thank you for saving us the time of reading ‘even though that garbage is exactly what I posted it isn’t what I meant to say’
Read better is a far easier read for us so ‘thank you’

No. I tell people to read better when, for whatever reason, they have mischaracterized my sentiments.

And this is at least the 3rd time we've been over this.

For starters, I've never said Iowa players will play worse because of something they've read on the message board. Read better.

Believe it or not, I know what I've posted and have not posted. So the burden of proof is on you.

Or you could get a life. As I've also told you many times before

‘Bad fans are bad for Hawkeye athletics. And they don't give the team its best chance to win. Coaches tell us all the time that the community is actually part of the team.’

So if the best chance to win is to play better then bad fans diminish that so they play worse…….

‘ Yes, a negative community can be felt by the team.’

so a negative community makes them play……. Better?

so other than saying that it takes away from their chances to win you have never said they won’t play as well? Got it.

My deepest heartfelt apologies to use what you type to refute your position.

And as an FYI - just because you say something doesn’t make it so to anyone other than yourself. In fact for people that have a clue it usually means the opposite.

I like the ‘I have posted this repeatedly’ as if that somehow makes it accurate(it doesn’t) try using all caps or a bigger font, underline may help as well. All the tricks for your unsupported opinions.
