Good lord. 3rd? I mean they’re good but they’re not that good & the schedule is brutal. I’d say 6th. Maybe 7th or 8th.
I think they will be 10-2 to 9-3. Losses to UGA, Texas, and maybe 1 more. Wherever that puts them in the list. We will see.

I have no date, no info, no insider info.....Only the calm and subtle hope that we win 6 games and one major upset.

should things go south, I'll simply retire to re-building an old lawn mower.
yea, I'll be replacing a transmission during the UTA game. Parallel DIY's are the only way I can justify 4 hours of FB and blowing a 17 pt 4th qtr lead.

HA.....I have found over the last several years, and especially with so many of our games being daylight contests......I always have some projects in the queue, especially mechanical, that I can escape to in the event of total let down via MSU Football.......makes the day go by and I can be happy or mad about the success of my wanna be rookie small engine mechanic skills, and also make space for nighttime grill, and powerhouse football contests at night

Unfortunately I still think they’re miles ahead of us. But there’s a lot of mediocrity in those last 6 SEC teams. And we do get 2 of them at home (I’d feel better if Kentucky and/or Arkansas were on the schedule though). And I think 8-4 with their schedule is still a dang good record. FPI predicts 7.3 wins for them. They led kind of a charmed life last year. Relatively easy schedule & won most of the close games. Now they’ve lost their coach & OC and the schedule is much tougher.

Fact:

If their roster was our roster and we experienced a coaching change, the experts would rank us no different than they currently have. The “new coach uncertainty“ would be their excuse for the poor ranking. The experts…they suck.

I had to re-organize my garage with gladiator shelving and add a 48" workbench (with a 40" TV on top) to co-exist in the lebby-ball ecosystem.

The whole ‘we won’t finish next to last’ has a lot of variables. Can Arnett and his crew of coaches turn the worst defense into some form of fighters who can slow the other guys down? Is the offensive line going to be offensive or 17-ing offensive? Can we keep Kamario from getting beat up? And lots of other stuff.

BTW, cost of firing DeBoar…$70 million.

And no one knows if the offensive staff is good at calling plays or coaching. Brian Kelly saw last year what changing a QB coach does to an offense.

I think their new offensive staff will be fine. But they won’t be as good as last year was. They just won’t. Kiffin may be the top offensive coach in the country & Weiss is really good too.

For all the complaining about our schedule, we get to play 10, 11, 12, and 13, and three of those at home.

If Lebby is a decent coach (not even a "good" coach) 6-6 should be doable.

It's probably our media and some national media or it could be just gas but I think we can surprise some people and finish in the top 10 in the SEC.

Reminds me of the old Soviet story about United States versus Russia in speed skating or something. The USA finished first. The Soviets reported it as the USA finished next to last while the Soviets finished in second place or some ******** like that.
