Cult members stand and clap for over a minute (Twice), yesterday as Dementia Donald basks in the adulation

Susie Wiles is running the world's most exclusive adult daycare center. At the beginning and the end of an utterly meaningless event over pricing attendees stood and clapped for over a minute as Lee Greenwood's God Bless The USA played. This is what Wiles does every day. She organizes an event in the afternoon to occupy Donald's mind and create video content of him pretending to do something.

“All grinning like demented circus bears” is perfect description. I still find this less cringy than when he sits in a cabinet meeting and they go around the room with each person at table blowing sunshine up his arse as he basks like the dictator he is.

I still will never get how 30 percent of the nation still support this type of person as POTUS. It is obvious to see and hear what an awful egomaniac he is…truly a crazy and immoral person who cares for nothing and nobody but him.

Fear. Same reason so many Dems supported Dementia Joe--the fear that w/o a party representative in the WH that the other "EVIL" party will be in control and everything you hold dear is gone.

Most of them think it's funny on some level. They probably aren't being personally affected by things he or the Rs do, or at least they're being told those things don't affect them. Not much more than that.

Speaking of standing up out of respect…..remember when your libtard politicians refused to stand up for this mother who’s daughter was murdered by an illegal criminal?!

One of the most pathetic displays I’ve ever seen & confirmed for all to see that you clowns are the party of evil.

I’m tired of standing for the national anthem, which for 100 years has been about honoring veterans.

Why do we even need an event for thes kinds of things
Shiny things to keep Donald occupied. I saw some reporting a few weeks ago that Trump had only made 3 appearances before 11 am for several months. He's taking longer to get going in the mornings, and stays up to all hours rage tweeting. Wiles is doing everything she can to create the image of a vigorous president.

I recall one of my best Commanders, he hated the room being called to attention...couldn't say, "Take your seats" fast enough. Very humble leader. He was prior enlisted, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

He's a 2-star now. ...he's the CC who performed my retirement ceremony back in 2013.

Seems low T. Why wouldn't he want standing and cheering when he walks into a room?

Joe is nothing like Donald. If you want to say he shouldn't have run again, you'd have a point. But, Dems did do the hard thing and push him aside. Some of remembered 1/6, and recognized the evil of electing Trump again. Our fears are being proven to have been well founded.

Why did we need trans day of visibility on Easter with top less trannies on the Whitehouse lawn under joe biden? I recall a lot of seal-like clapping from the far left on that.

They also refused to stand up for the little black boy who beat childhood cancer because he wanted to be a cop. They're not the good people they claim to be. Their virtue is entirely fake and gay.

Bro that was a pathetic both sides thing. Don’t go the way of bins and ed.
I disagree. Do you have a better explanation for the blatant cover up for Joe? It took a national audience witnessing it live for them to finally acknowledge it. Or are you of the mindset the Democratic party is somehow above wanting to be in power/control.

Just because the current administration is one of the worst we've seen doesn't somehow mean the Democrat party is above reproach. ...sometimes there are both sides. Even if it's a 30/70.

Why are you bringing this up though? In a thread about Trump needing adulation? Almost all the board Democrats, myself included are mad that Biden ran again when clearly he was not up for the task.

But that has nothing to do with what is happening here. Completely different things and why strange and out of character for you to bring it up. Biden surrounded himself with competent people who ran the country decently and was actually nowhere to be seen. They hid him.

But more to the point, there was no fear of him. “Fear. Same reason so many Dems supported Dementia Joe” is such an asinine statement by you.

Biden should have not run again but his situation and this current one have nothing to do with each other and bringing it up as the same in a cult applaud video is weird. Again an ed or bins move and not like you.

You're reading more into my comment than I think you should. You asked why Democrats supported Biden. I gave you my opinion--fear. Fear that if the Dem party lost the evil MAGAs would upend everything...and likely out of petulance.

I wasn't equating Biden's support with Trump's personality cult. In fact, I've said over and over again I think Trump's MAGA movement is in a league of its own. My point was simply fear is an incredibly powerful motivator. You don't have to agree with me, but that's how I see it.

He gets off on power. He wants to take this abuse of power to it's extreme. So it's logical to wonder if he's gotten some of these men to have sex with him as some of his female staffers have.

Link to Biden being anything other than a slowing down old man? I’m still waiting for the dementia diagnosis that people have thrown around for 7 years. I’m still waiting on people from his last administration saying anything close to what cabinet members said about Trump during his first term. You’re better than this.

Sorry...quote feature was screwing up.

Anyhoot, I think you and noleclone are falling into the same trap as Huey and Chis. Any response that isn't filled with outrage over Trump gets dismissed as "both sides" or "Bins."

It's entirely possible to have a negative opinion of how the Biden admin handled his obvious cognitive decline w/o that somehow being a defense of Trump. Whether it was dementia or simply age-related decline, I think it became pretty dadgum clear Biden was no longer capable of serving another four years...probably not even his current term.

Let me ask it this way. If it wasn't largely driven by fear of Trump or losing office/power, what was the rationale for continuing to roll out Biden? Also, do you not think fear is a motivating factor in voting for a candidate?

If you want to make a comment about how his decline was handled I agree. The dementia Joe comments are ignorant. Biden, again, effed up by not saying early he was a one term president. He just wasn’t demented. I get tired of reading that BS.

"Ignorant"? No. Medically unsubstantiated? Sure. But not ignorant. We watched years of verbal stumbles, confusion, memory lapses and his debate performance was undeniably horrible.

Considering my FIL has dementia and I watched him deteriate before my eyes, I'd like to think I can come to the conclusion Joe's decline was very similar. So maybe the appropriate word you could use for my comment was, insensitive. I'll give you that one.

Nobody denies that Biden slipped gears during his presidency. It's the reason why Dems told him that he couldn't do a second.

I'm curious what that has to do with Trump slipping gears and Republicans worshipping like a cult figure?

I'm not sure why you even brought Biden into this conversation? The two men are in no way the same.

You're responding as if I randomly injected Biden into the conversation. I didn't. noleclone asked why people continue to support Trump. I said fear. Fear isn't one sided. I'm sorry you didn't like my answer. You can always ignore it.

Cover up? The Lib media fretted, and the nut job media went with DeMEnTIuh JoE nonstop.
Trump is cratering mentally and physically. He meandered and wandered around last night at the press corps dinner part 2, and the media is petrified to talk about it. That's fear of retribution in action, and it's well deserved.

I think you guys are getting way too hung up on Biden when he wasn't really my point. My point was about fear as a political motivator. Fear has always motivated people. Fear after 9/11 terrified Americans into support the Patriot Act an the Iraq War. Fear of COVID motivated support for lockdowns. Fear of illegals motivates Republicans. Fear of losing abortion rights motivates Democrats. The list goes on and on and on and on.

Fear isn't a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It's a human problem. My "opinion" is that fear of Trump was one of the reasons many Democrats continued backing Biden longer than they otherwise would have. You don't have to agree with that, but it's hardly a crazy proposition.

thanks for illustrating my point above (post 39). You just sasid the media is acting out of fear of retribution. I'm arguing many Democrats continued supporting Biden out of fear of Trump and losing power. We both seem to agree fear is a powerful motivator. We just disagree about who it's motivating...or at least several other folks in this thread do.

I could probably kept this thread 1/2 page shorter had it gone down like this.
