Yeah for me the pendulum keeps swinging back and forth between “we might start 1-4 and fire Lebby by early October” and “I think we could be 4-0 when we host Bama”

Every time I try to get excited I am reminded of shitting the bed against Tennessee, Florida, Texas, and the 14* straight QB draws against Missouri.

*I'm guessing. I know it was more than 10 and resulted in 0 points despite a prolonged visit to the redzone.

The QB draws would have been more successful with another QB on our roster.
Almost certainly, and yet Shapen was the square peg pounding repeatedly into the nonexistent round hole and Jeff Lebby was the guy getting millions to make those decisions.

We have a legit defense & DC. If Lebby can score 30+ pts per game again we'll have a season to be proud of.

6+ wins is staring us right in the face. He may not be a MENSA member, but his teams seem to improve. No reason to expect otherwise other than classic state fan mentality.

I am still in the 'expect the worst, hope for the best, and you'll never be disappointed' crowd when considering State football.

I don't know what to think. Who would have thought we would have had Tenn and TX fans butt puckered. I felt like we could be Florida. With portal you really don't know how tough your schedule is until about three to four weeks in. Our defense will be improved and hopefully the offense will improve with the QB. You never know.
