When they can't match the skill, they muck it up. Good officiating helps prevent that, problem is, there are few competent officials in this league.

I've given up worrying about Clark getting that 8th T and a suspension. She's going to be herself, and she's only taking so much crap from opponents. I'll be shocked if she doesn't get #8. Question is, who sits first, her or Reese. She also has 7 already...
That one really wasn't an outburst. (at least not directed at the refs. ). Rivers fouled her, (no call made) then their center fouled her, and they called the foul. Then Rivers made some gesture at Clark like she was faking it, and Clark went back at Rivers. Hopefully after the first suspension she'll back off a bit, but like I said, it is what it is. She's done taking crap from opponents. And yes they will be baiting her....
Sure, and MAYBE they should actually call the fouls and the holds....

It's weird how people who "give up" on holding a certain person accountable for their actions, also end up having a lot of excuses for that person.

If my lip reading skills are as good as I think they are, Caitlin added an f bomb before scoreboard.
Still a little light for a T but the game was getting chippy so I can understand the refs trying to get control back.
With exactly what move(s)? She scores 80-90% of her baskets from inside the paint with no dribbles. A game of one on one starts at the top of the key and she must dribble the ball for any chance to score. She sucks at dribbling. Stop her dribble and she has no chance. CC would destroy her.
I’m not particularly concerned about the T. It obviously didn’t impact the game result and it’s inevitable that Clark is going to get 8 before the end of the season anyway. So it might as well be sooner rather than later.
I just think it’s hilarious that Rivers thinks she’s in a position to talk smack with Clark while down by 30. She has never beaten Clark head-to-head and she’s not even good enough to get consistent playing time on the worst team in the league. I get that trash talk is part of basketball and Clark certainly does her share of it. But maybe it’s best not to run your mouth if you aren’t good enough to back it up.
Agree about the 8th T, the issue is you only get 2 more and you get another suspension. I would imagine teams are going to increase sending "goons" after her trying to provoke her into fighting back and keep getting more T's.
I didn’t realize there is a second suspension after just 2 more. That changes the equation a bit.
The T makes me nervous because I'm catching the Fever and Lynx game with my daughter. Before I was concerned with her being injured....
Now if she picks up her #8 T in the Portland game right before the Lynx.... I assume she is suspended for that next game.... No delaying the suspension or anything?
Just go get #8 at Seattle, then sit against Portland, so you can play against the Lynx.
If the WNBA was smart they'd switch to fines only for Techs....

They get suspended for EVERY two after the 8th one. Not sure if there is a reset for the playoffs. Unfortunately this last one was really lame. Just FYI for those wondering why Clarks not in the three point comp for the All Star weekend, she was offered and she turned it down.
I think its only regular season and playoff games for the suspension. Clark already put a bit of a damper on the three point competition by refusing to take part.
