I believe this is one of these things that completely depends on what the results of the season are. If he wins and exceeds expectations then it's great and gets Kentucky the attention the school needs. If he he has a losing season though then it's an embarrassment and he needs to get out. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though and see how this year goes. I would hope most fans of the program would at least agree to give him a chance and see if he can back up what he said.
He may not be humble but at least he's right. In football it always depends on the coach. If anybody thinks Saban wouldn't have had the same success at some other SEC school they are nuts. Before NIL and the portal that school probably couldn't have been Kentucky or Vandy but now anything is possible. If Stein is that kind of coach he will win big at Kentucky. Of course it's a longshot that Stein will be that kind of coach but a guy can dream.
