No there is evidence. QB spots were getting filled in the portal early.Based on what? There's zero evidence of this

Filled up? He went to Mizzou to compete for playing time--that would have been an option a month later. No there is evidence. QB spots were getting filled in the portal early.
So if that was the best available at the time for him it would have been much more slim pickins later.Filled up? He went to Mizzou to compete for playing time--that would have been an option a month later.
Based on what? He has an agent--they could have negotiated that before he entered the portal like everyone else does.So if that was the best available at the time for him it would have been much more slim pickins later.
He waited to see if Allar was coming back. Once that was decided he had to move quickly. This the predominant thought by BWI at the time too. If you don’t want to believe it that’s fine with me. You seem to have a greater understanding of everything and everyone here including the beat writers. Carry on.Based on what? This argument is illogical and ignores how things worse--kids were transferring after spring ball and getting starting jobs--he didn't even get a starting role with Mizzou

He didn't wait for Allar. He believed Allar was leaving then reacted emotionally. That was the reaction by the majority here because most didn't under the rules about the window because Beau and James provided false information. Some still dont understand it. Many here like rewriting history and blaming the NCAA for things. Beau's decision was not logic based. He was angry. He waited to see if Allar was coming back. Hmmmmm, for decades the NCAA allowed many schools to pay for play under the table and they turned a blind eye to it. It wasn't some hard secret to figure out. They had every opportunity multiple times over to either enforce it or fix it with REAL STIPENDS and they didn't want to rock the boat as they needed those $$$'s coming into their pockets. This is all coming from a non profit that has a billion dollar a year revenue and a president that makes 3+ million a year while running a "nonprofit" system "for the kids lucky to get ships". Yet the people...mainly 2 sports with some exceptions were told they were just lucky to "get a free education" and they needed to shut up when it was already being raised they should be getting a cut of the pie.We agree that it's the wild west but your position on $$$ seems hypocritical. You support players getting $$$ but you're offended by schools and the NCAA getting $$$. I don't understand that.
Why? As it turns out Allar got injured early last year and Beau would have become PSU's starting QB for most of last year as well as this coming year. Of course he didn't know that at the time.If he stayed his options would have been limited.
What you don't understand is some PSU fans think these kids in today's NIL world/free agency need to be almighty loyal to PSU. If not, they are bad people who dare to look out for themselves and families first. PSU wasn't going to match that offer from Mizzou and I'm sure Mizzou wanted this done quickly on their end too. I don't think the conversation was take your time, we'll wait for Beau to decide whenever and won't look elsewhere.....or it was here is the offer, we need a decision in X amount of days or we're moving on. That milk was spilled a long time ago, but some fans need to be butt hurt all of the time as this impacts them the most you know.....that is honestly what is going on in their warped heads. He waited to see if Allar was coming back. Whoa...I dont think he needed to be loyal. The issue is he lied about it instead of owning it. Players should do what is best for them but own it.What you don't understand is some PSU fans think these kids in today's NIL world/free agency need to be almighty loyal to PSU. You're the one that doesn't like the timeline because it doesn't fit your narrative. Sorry about that. Your post above this one was good.Ok King Lando. LoL
I swear to god you post here just to read your own posts.
You're the one that doesn't like the timeline because it doesn't fit your narrative. Sorry about that. Your post above this one
I didn’t care if Beau stayed or not. I didn’t create any narrative. I just explained what he said his reasons were at the time. He was looking out for himself which is what he should have done. The kid just wanted to play. You're the one that doesn't like the timeline because it doesn't fit your narrative. Sorry about that. Your post above this one was good.
His reasons didn't make sense. Beau continually lied about the timeline. He didn't want to play. He was angry and wanted to leave. If he wanted to play, like all the others that stayed and entered the portal after the playoff run, he would have.I didn’t care if Beau stayed or not. I didn’t create any narrative. He loved being at PSU but he just wanted to on the field more and no one should blame him. If he could make more money, more power to him.
It would be really great if you would chill on the accusatory tone and create false motives for other posters.
Also, how do you know James lied to him? Were you in the room?

I agree...he wanted to start and make money. He should have left. And he shouldn't have lied about that.
Where did I say James lied to him? James used him but never lied to him. There's a different.
Accusatory tone? Interesting
This is all simple
Beau was right for leaving. I'm glad he did. He should have maximized playing time and income.
Beau also never tool ownership. Repeatedly falsely stating when he had to decide by while the rest of his teammates left after the playoff run.
Beau didn't want to face the ramifications of being honest.
James was thrilled by this...see the changes that occurred regarding the portal.
All good...James and Beau repeatedly used the deadline excluding the exception for playoff teams. Either they didn't know (which is a problem) or were misleading people to help create change. You said this above.
“That was the reaction by the majority here because most didn't under the rules about the window because Beau and James provided false information.”
I read it wrong. Essentially you were saying that Beau and James lied to the media I guess or lied to us.
My bad.
How and why does this impact your life that a young man changed schools for more money? In what way do you think he owes you an explanation? All good...James and Beau repeatedly used the deadline excluding the exception for playoff teams. Didn't impact my life at all. I'm glad he left and cashed in (though it's significantly overstated regarding what he received) but it gave him a chance to compete to start so good for himHow and why does this impact your life that a young man changed schools for more money?
