Would it be considered somewhat of a Christian cheer when one of our boneheaded coaches or players made a totally dumb call or play and we all stood and yelled "Jesus Christ" in unison ?

That would be using God's name in vain and breaking one of the 10 Commandments.

I am not a going to church religious guy. I came from NY and the pregame prayer was very foreign to me when I got to State. I don't know that I partook, but I also didn't care that others did. I do think it's a shame that it came from down on high that it had to stop.

I've had season tickets for years in various places on the home side, lower bowl, between the 30yd lines, and have yet to hear another soul do the "Nuther T". One day maybe... one day... Regardless, I'll "Nuther T" until I die!

2. Whole hog half ham Arkansas aint worth a damn!

I’d be willing to change school colors if I NEVER had to hear Maroon/White again.

And the student section should receive permanent ban if they can’t slow down the Maroon-White Fight Fight Fight cheer! They are horribly way ahead of the band!

Okay, that was a joke cheer we did in high school band at Brandon when we were on defense but it's funny and I haven't thought about it in a while.

"Hold on, wait a minute" started with the Maroon Band when I was at State. I think it's one of the best.

We desperately need a fixed version of "Maroon White" with a beginning, middle, and a fixed end point. I know that's my constant complaint, but my complaining doesn't sound as bad as "Maroon White" dying a slow death or just fading out because everyone got tired of it.

Do any of you remember MSU's "Super Fan" from the late 70's early 80's during the "Bulldog Blitz" era, he was at Jackson and Starkville games leading cheers from the stands, I think his name was Steve something????

He wore a MSU uniform complete w/ shoulder pads, jersey, pants w/ "maroon piping" on them the whole deal except for helmet. He had a cape on also and waved a big flag and/or a sign too. He lives in Starkville now and I talked to him a year or so ago. He couldn't believe I remembered him from 40+ years ago
