In the movie, which I watched before commenting, it was Sinon, the character that Page played. It was the entire plot for the character. The main antagonist for the movie convinced Sinon to switch spots, then didn't uphold his portion of the deal they made. It actually makes the movie and situation MORE impactful that Sinon wasn't this perfect greek god of a warrior. Because they were basically forced by poverty to sign up to go, which Odysseus agreed to as well, and then were killed (which Odysseus had an amount of responsibility for as well). You've missed quite a lot in your urge to laugh at someone different than you.
