Only 26 years in. Shirley between now and the end of the century two teams will end up with 2 to 0 or 3 to 0 final score.

There was this. I remember watching the end of it, so awful it was entertaining.

You are likely asking about the infamous 2014 college football game between Wake Forest (WF) and Virginia Tech (VT), which ended in a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation. [1]
  • The Final Score: Wake Forest won 6-3 in double overtime.
  • The Game: It featured terrible offense, many punts, and missed field goals.
The Teams: Both teams struggled to move the ball, resulting in one of the lowest-scoring games in college football history. [1, 2]

I was in New Orleans . Watching the game Drunk as fck. My wife and I had just dating . She was early 20s I was late 30s . So in my drunk state of mind I thought I’d go home Huntsville and hit it . So that’s what I did . That’s what I remember. I told my buddy we would trade Willie mccorvey and some boot for a left tackle .

I embraced a random Aub fan as we left the upper deck after the game. Not sure who was more upset.

I was so mad after that game i saw 2 abarn students stealing a cooler full of beer after the game from a MSU tent tailgater I chased one of them down and beat the Sh it out of him. And it wasn't even my cooler!
That was my second senior year. I was sitting in the north end zone. I can remember as I was walking out of the stadium, taking off whatever maroon shirt I was wearing that day, turning it inside out, and just wearing it like that the rest of the day/night.

I remember losing a commit after that game. I think a receiver, maybe, who said the offense looking terrible was the reason.
Then he committed to Auburn.

It’s also tied for the 4th lowest score that is even possible at the end of a football game, and is the lowest possible score in which both teams score points.

1) 2-0
2) 3-0
3) 4-0
T4) 5-0
T4) 3-2

If I remember right, at one point we recovered a fumble or had an INT at about Auburn’s 25 yard line and then punted from the 40.
I was close.

Went and looked it up in the official box score. First play of the second half, Auburn QB Chris Todd fumbled and Derek Pegues recovered at the Auburn 32.

MSU takes over at the Auburn 32.

1st and 10: Wes Carroll sacked for -7.

2nd and 17: incomplete pass but PI called on Auburn, ball placed at the 24.

1st and 10: Boobie Dixon gains 4.

2nd and 6: Boobie loss of 1.

3rd and 7: incompletion

We didn’t punt though, Carlson tried a 38 yard FG and came up SHORT. Good Lord.

So take out the Auburn penalty and we got the ball at their 32 and gained a net of MINUS 4 yards on our actual snaps. Somehow that’s worse than what I even remembered.

At the risk of mental injury I went through the official drive chart and added up our net yardage by quarter in that game.

Brace yourselves.

1st quarter: 40 yards total
2nd quarter: 10 yards
3rd quarter: 44 yards (15 of those on the pass interference call)
4th quarter: 22 yards

That’s 116 for the night, and 76 of it after the first quarter. It started ****** and got worse.

The 15-yard PI penalty was our longest play of the night, unless you count the 38-yard run back of the opening kick by Pegues. Incredible.
