Donovan Dent, Jordan Pope filing age-based eligibility lawsuit against NCAA
Donovan Dent and Jordan Pope are among the latest notable college athletes to file an age-based eligibility lawsuit against the NCAA.
They deserve 5 years I guess. Both of these dudes were career starters who played virtually every game all four years.
I don’t see how the NCAA can give them another year unless they also give EVERYONE another year. What exactly is their argument?
100% agree with ya but I guess I see why they’re trying. Probably $3M on the line. Both of these dudes were career starters who played virtually every game all four years.

Dent is light years better than both I would imagine right? Didn't we want him extremely bad at one point?I’ve heard Zoom and Wilkins are showing a lot of promise so I don’t think you go for Dent. As for Pope, if he were available, he’d be a pickup.
He was the top PG going into last class, but he had an extremely bad year. Shell of himself. Don’t want him, too big of a risk.Dent is light years better than both I would imagine right? Didn't we want him extremely bad at one point?
Id still take either guy. I hope Pope snags somebody decent. If they are available why not? Convince dent to come off the bench for a couple mill. Assuming we had it to spend. Idk tho.He was the top PG going into last class, but he had an extremely bad year. Shell of himself. Don’t want him, too big of a risk.
Cost-benefit. Don’t see the value. The Dent that played at UCLA last year is a downgrade from what we currently have. Rosters don’t exist in a vacuum either. I’m not sure it’s worth upsetting your guards when we already have two PGs I’d rather have than Dent right now (Diallo and Wilkins). You also have Mason Williams to develop also. I think we might be thin at wing if Kam Williams doesn’t get healthy soon, so I’d be good with an addition there. An insurance policy for backup 5 would make sense given Kepnang’s injury history. Zero chance I’d upset the apple cart at point guard though. I think we just disagree here.Id still take either guy. I hope Pope snags somebody decent. If they are available why not? I'll take anybody worth a damn
I guess I look at it different. I see one pg in Diallo. One shooting guard in Wilkins. What if one goes down? Relying on Mason Williams the underated freshman to carry us through the SEC? I don’t know why you’d look at it that way. Who was the super-amazing backup PG for the 2010 team? There wasn’t one. Because that team had two PGs, Wall and Bledsoe. It’s the same thing with Diallo and Wilkins where Wilkins is a point guard playing the 2.I guess I look at it different. I see one pg in Diallo. One shooting guard in Wilkins. What if one goes down? Even if you had Eric Bledsoe and John Wall. You would want a good replacement when they go out of the game or get injured.
I didn't say 2010 had one I said you would want one. But I don't feel this team has a Deandre Liggins,Darnell Dodson,Ramon Harris, or most definitely Darius Miller.I don’t know why you’d look at it that way. DeAndre Liggins
Darius Miller
Darnell Dodson
Ramon Harris
Jon Hood
Those were the other “guards” on the 2010 team. Liggins could play pinch point, but all of those guys are wings, not guards.
Our current Kentucky team already has Diallo, Wilkins, M. Williams and Morton who are point guards. I think adding Dent would make less than zero sense. If he was the guy two years an ago — sure, he’d be worth risking a grenade to roster chemistry but there’s no sign of that guy to be seen.
Don't remember that Yaxel dude that went to Michigan prior to when UK started recruiting him.. I can say that about A LOT of players like him.. I pay zero attention to any other school besides UK..While I'm at it I'll keep explaining why I feel like that about our current roster. The guy we made the richest college player in the country I never heard of before we recently started recruiting him. I don't even remember him from the *** whooping they put on us in the tournament.

I bet Dent and Gonzaga get together after they lost their PG.
It’s funny how quickly everything flipped after NIL. CBB’s problem was that players wouldn’t stay. Now it’s that they won’t leave. And that change happened nearly overnight. It’s great to see that these guys want to come back and further their education.
