The level of extreme cattiness and petty jealousy among women, including current women professional athletes, over CC has been nothing short of astonishing. It's like they're all 14-year-old girls mad about that one girl that all the boys are after. Really embarrassing for them.
To be fair, it's always been like this with them........just not to this degree of exposure because of the media and social attention that Caitlin has garnered.

It's the old Bill Burr saying about the WNBA from years ago.

Paraphrasing: "Women never supported (watched) the WNBA...... so why should we?"

They simply do not support each other like they say they do (or should).

Well, they need to get over that BS. There are more opportunities for them now to secure funds and recognition in the commercial world, thanks to "Eyes on the league" by that Clark girl.
Oh 100% but I don't think they're going to. Tiger Woods ran into the same kind of thing the first year or two when he exploded onto the scene, established and older pros not liking all the attention he was getting. Then when they saw ALL of their purses going up, they were on board. I don't think women are capable of that. I seriously don't.

I can't find anything suggesting CC won't play against the Liberty. Post-game, in the tunnel, CC said, "See you tomorrow." Neither White nor CC said anything in the post-game presser that indicated she wouldn't play.
Game planning is a bit easier when your opponent knows who is and isn't playing, right?

In that case, they should stop playing any resemblance of defense at all. No point in risking getting run over. Damn refs. (y)
That’s a stretch…they’ve changed the charge rules and almost nothing is a charge, so why try to take one?

I don't like it any more than you do, but sometimes it's true. The black women in this league clearly despise her for all the attention she's gotten, and race plays a role in it. If you can't recognize that by now, you're being willfully blind.
I'm not disagreeing with the hate and race related crap going on with Caitlin. I'm saying there is a whole second level of commentators generating clicks off of it and giving attention to or participating in the divisive bs helps to perpetuate it.
And it's not all the black women in the league. Just like not every Caitlin fan is racist.

I would agree with this in the general sense because I believe it is factual. And to just add to this comment, I'll say two things. First, folks will always "Tune In" to their favorite commentors. Some will do so for useful commentary and information. Others will follow along to hear information that will satisfy their "Itching Ears".

Secondly, folks who have a specific feeling about someone or some topic will gravitate toward the commentary that reinforces those feelings. And, another aspect of commentary are redundancies. This commentor "Parrots" off of the original story, and so on. And then, many of them endorse each other publicly (Which adds up to perpetuation). The important thing is to exercise discernment, but with all of the various opinions out there, it can be a pretty slick environment to navigate. Listening to both sides of commentary, and then forming an opinion is nice, but doesn't address bias in some form or another by the consumer.

In other words, the info and the commentary's out there. Common sense and research can help. But, good old common sense goes a long way.
